Moyes potters around the technical area at Old Trafford like an old man who can't remember where he put his glasses. And all the time they're on the top of his head. Wouldn't look out of place to see Moyes wearing slippers at the next home game.

I'm afraid, you get what you buy and Utd bought a 'top 8' manager. Therefore, Utd shouldn't be surprised that what he is producing is a 'top 8' team.

I blame Fergie and Bobby Charlton who opted for the quiet life in their retirement. They chose a manager who wasn't going to rock the boat but now the boat is lost at sea with a Cap'n who has no idea how to row it.

Motes had the biggest pair of boots to fill in football and the pressure of expectation immense - would like to see him turn it around - if he fails will be another nail in the coffin for British managers

No doubt Moyes will be a success at utd. Just needs time.

Yes, that's true. But there is nothing anybody can point to in Moyes' footballing history to suggest that he is a) capable of turning this round or b) managing a global brand like Man Utd.

It's not his fault he's the manager. It's the Fergie/Charlton axis I blame for taking the easy route and a quiet life.

Did you know that of the 6 most frequent 0-0 matches in Premiership history, Everton feature in 4 of them. Why would you want a manager like that at a club like Man Utd?

I was looking at Serie A the other day - 16 from 20 Italian managers. I think it's the reverse in England 4 out of 20 English, albeit Hughton counts as Irish due to his footballing allegiance.
