Im still not convinced about England's defence either, a better side can exploit deficiencies at the back.........Ferdinand, Terry, Ashley Cole, Carrick and Dawson are the big 5 in defence for me

I also dont believe teams (opposition) that play England (whether friendly or not) will take a relaxed attitude, playing well against England in England is a big scalp for opposition sides

I want England to win but I'm concerned by the rumour that Jones will be right back.Surely theres a "proper" right back out there? Whats wrong with young Kelly of Liverpool? I just think Jones is like a fish out of water in that right back slot at club level and with Hart in somewhat "iffy" mode we are going to be pretty vulnerable if they come at us, and they'll make chances. Hope I'm wrong of course!!

I still don't think Gerrard and Lampard works. |

I agree re Lamps AND Gerrard. Wiltshire is the future so should play imo, with carrick and gerrard. (or carrick and lampard but its obvious as gerrard is captain he'll get the place)

hope he goes with the team that started on friday looked good in 2nd half.
the big worry imo is the defence not sure cahill and jagelka are international class. would like to see john terry in the heart of defence in these big games. |
