Are Spurs not very short here.. Thought last year Anzhi were the next big team in Russia and had millions to spend.

Since then the owner has pulled the plug and they have lost basically all their players. I think Defoe, Holtby and Lamela and meant to be starting for Spurs.

comparing anzhi last year to this year is pointless, they are basically an entirely new team, and a poor one at that- their record in the russian prem this year is: P11 W0 D6 L5. no-hopers

I have backed Spurs at 8/15 and a little one on 0-0, cos watching match so wanted a bet but be careful Anzhi not terrible, I backed against them last week in Russian league when they played CSKA and they got a 0-0 draw, so they can defend. Think Spurs would take a draw before match, this comp is a minefield. BEWARE!!! ha ha

would make sense. if he scores, it builds confidence. if he doesn't... well, going out of this competition would suit spurs anyway, so who cares. still solid money for defoe, too. |

Just over evens for Defoe to score looks a fair price when he is only striker. Still think it could be tighter than people think. Do hope Spurs start fast then it could be all over by half time.

so long as no one else scores early and he doesn't go off injured, it wouldn't surprise me to see him being nibbled away at as low as 3/1.

I reckon 4.5 viva defoe. he was backed at 4 in play against tromso I had a big green on him and came extremely close to laying it at that short prcie but I had a feeling he would score first

yeah, 4.0 would be about the bottom of it. the layers get a bit squeamish IP ime, especially from these remote games. bito's mighty implement has them running scared.
