yes it sounds exzctly like the Elche / Madrid incident. Both seem to be cases of ref's straining at the leash to give a certain team a break

shocking decisions doesn't seem to have done clattenburg's career any harm - he still gets the big games and also gets signed Liverpool shirts and hospitality from Liverpool for his family
