no really ken I heard about an old crusty who made shef u his "nap of the season" for that game , put that weeks incapacity benefit on them at 2/5 , and boom , broken man wandering the back streets of bf dribbling and shouting at strangers "hey I used to be a bookmaker you know"

Isn't the Saudi crown prince their owner now? As biscuit said they'll just buy their way out of it and romp it next season. They'll probably splash out in january regardless of position at the time so they'll be fine.

Poor choice of manager perhaps, seems like a lot of utd fans calling for the head of Weir, easy to coach youngsters how to pass and keep the ball, different step up coaching actual first team pros how to win matches in league one. Think their might be a few clubs in League one who might get a little worried if Weir gets the bullet as United are a lot bigger club than most at this level, Slade a United fan and Steve Evans has done a good job at Rotherham, Rosler also, all could be on the wanted list of the new owner? looking for proven managerial ability in the league.

troller davison, anybody's joke is better than any 'joke' or any tip from troller amy, BTW, didn't he tip Posh at 3.5, greened up at 3.2 for a £3 profit then watched in horror as they won 6-0? He has a lot to proud of!

I'm proud of you ken, it takes a big man to get over something like that, the jibes , the crazy laughter, the shame , and come back as proud and certain as ever , the 21st Century Oliver Hardy, what doesn't kill him makes him more pompous - and I was proud of that posh shout , pretty damn good

tbf McCall's reasoning was personal, after being away from 'home' for so long and then going back, his wife didnt wanted to stay putt, don't think their as skint as they were when they sold McDonald due to the sale of half the club to a Saudi prince.

The signing of King has divided opinion among Blades fans but, then again, Weir himself has divided opinion. Plenty seem to be saying he's got a very short time frame in which to turn it round. He's insisting on possession football being played - never deviates from this, even when we're trailing with minutes to play - but the players he's asking to do it aren't really up to it. There's no end product - he could do with a good striker but whether King fits the bill has to be open to question.
We'll not go down - agree with the comments about money being spent should that look on the cards - but we're already trailing a long way behind the leaders even at this stage and don't look likely to bridge that gap.
There's a shoulder-shrugging approach from most fans - as in "it's Sheffield United, what do you expect?" - and they'll keep turning up despite plenty saying they've had enough.

Never too big to go down from League 1 - if you're in that league then you weren't good enough to be a league higher.
Big crowds can work against you if you have poor players in home matches - my club Bradford know that cycle (Prem-League 2) oh so well....

"he could do with a good striker but whether King fits the bill has to be open to question"
2011 - 12 goals in 28 games 2012 - 16 in 40 2013 - 13 in 27
All at championship level. Surely good enough for league one.

It wasn't that tough a game - Preston were pretty average - but we still lost it. The phone-in on Radio Sheffield yesterday evening was grim. Blades and Owls fans in despair. Both managers' positions are very precarious.

The only thing that would make that situation better for me is if Neil Warnock and Kevin McCabe were still at the helm.
What goes around comes around.
Their inability to stay in the Premier League (when it was easily in their own hands) and then blame everyone but themselves for their downfall makes me a very happy man indeed.
Thought nothing of trying to put West Ham out of business. Hope Sheffield Utd rot.

Seriously where has all that cash gone that WH have paid over the years?
That at least should've made you be able to compete in the Championship.
Where has it gone SO wrong?
