And to think loads of spastic Villa fans were calling for Lambert to go after just two months last season. You're not gona turn into a top 6 team over night no matter how much of a 'big club' you are. The man is class he gets respect and 110% from his players and if he does'nt he drops them instantly no matter who they are. He has a great future ahead of him can only see him going onto bigger things in the next few years or so (Top 4 side or over to Germany).

If ref thought Ivanovic only deserved a yellow for the first challenge (assault) then surely he deserved at least a second yellow for the one on Benteke.  If he didn't spot the hand ball by Terry then we have serious problems.

I don't recall many AV fans wanting Lambert out. Certainly at Villa Park that was not the vibe that i felt. Of course there will be the odd exception, but they were in a huge minority.

We're an ongoing project, but since Feb last year the improvement has been quite remarkable. We can finish ahead of the usual also rans, and miles away from the relegation places.
