An English player who is comfortable in posession, moves the ball quickly and always wants te ball and he is decried by English fans. No wonder our national team is doomed.

Still just potential and needs at least 1 injury free season for us to decide if he's a Scholes or a Butt. Is certainly a victim of this country's need to proclaim any promising player as THE next big thing.

i said this a few years ago after his cameo 15 min england debut.
he is the only english midfielfder who always wants the ball and makes himself availabl;e mo matter if a man is tight on him. and will control it and pass to a team mate. lampard and gerrard cant do this. |
