Its probably his agent dropping some "Suarez may sign new contract" details to see if they can get one of the buyers Real or Arsenal to put in a higher offer.

If Liverpool think he is worth £50m and he is staying another 11 months then he might as well get paid what a £50m player gets paid.

If Liverpool have any sense they will turn down any approach from his agent and quietly agree his sale early next season.

Suarez was called and unrealiable and inconsistent witness during the racism investigation, so I am not sure I could trust his version of events, even over Uruguayan media

John Terry cleared in a public Criminal Court but found guilt by same 'investigators' you refer to sugarfoot. Court's, Kangaroo's and Prejudice  are words that come to mind.

have no idea at all of the relevance of your reply.  civil law (the standard used by the FA) is on balance of probabilities, criminal law has a greater burden of proof.  it is entirely reasonable for someone to be found guilty in a civil case and acquitted in a criminal one.  Terry was acquitted of a criminal charge because there was doubt that the words he used (and he did, for instance, say "f***ing bl**k c*nt") were meant as an insult rather than (as he claimed) forming part of a question.

Why didn't Evra press charges then or even sue ? If he had such a good case.
