Welcome to this season's challenge!
Many of you would have taken part in last years competition, for which raspberrybottom won and is the current champion.
This season we have some prize money!
The competition will run from 17th August until the 11th of May, which is the same as the Barclays Premier League. Each week, before 11AM on the Saturday you must post your bet- any bets placed after 11AM on the Saturday will not count so make sure you plan ahead!
You can place your bet on any market, in any game, from any league in any country- as long as the market is listed on Betfair AND the game is played between 00:01am on the Saturday and 23:59 on the Sunday. There may be exceptions on this during certain international or champion league weeks so make sure to follow this thread!
The odds for the bet have to be between 1.9 and 2.1, so if the odds are 1.89 you cannot have it, but if they are 1.9 you can. The odds have to be quoted from betfair exchange or from betfair sportsbook (the sportsbook is usually lower so if you fancy a bet that is 2.2 on the exchange (which is too high) then look on the sportsbook as it may be 2.05 (which is in the right odds spread). You can lay prices from the exchange, but you cannot lay prices from the Sportsbook.
The winner of the competition will be the user who has the most winning bets at the end of the competition (11th May is the last weekend), that is a total of 38 weeks- so the highest score you can get is 38. Therefore if you have an attempt every week but only get half right, that would give you 19 winning bets- which would put you above someone who only tried once a month but got all of his right as he would have 9 winning bets, so try and have a go each week!
If you have the highest amount of winning bets at the end of the competition you will win £130- £50 from Betfair, £50 from one user, £20 from another and £10 from me (if anyone would like to chip in to the kitty then feel free to message me)
If you come second, you win nothing.
If you come third, you win nothing.
When posting your bet, please look at your current position in the table, next to this will be your current rank (number). So if I was first I would post my bet as "1- Over 2.5 in Man Utd @2" For example. This way I can add your bet much easier!

The T Challenge
If you manage to get 10 consecutive winning bets, the winning bets have to be from either Barclays Premier League or The Championship matches, then you will win "The T Challenge" and win £500!
I was messaged by a user, who will remain nameless for now, who has generously set this challenge and provided the prize money, should there not be a winner this money will go to charity.
A huge thanks to this user, and to the two other users who have chipped in with prize money- it's really kind and makes this more fun!

I cant comment on that as it is Mr Lays comp, but i'm sure he will reply before KO next weekend. I should imagine it will be a shared payout, but that IS NOT official
If the draw is between two people, the winnings will be split between two as I think that is fair. However, it is possible that it could be a five way draw. If we end up with more than a two way draw we will enter a mini knock out competition.

I have no idea if it is even possible, but I'd have no problems running it if it was, but why couldnt we put say £5 each into a pot and do the same for the Brazilian, Argy, Scand' leagues, run it until August when the new season starts. Obviously if we did it as a £5 entry type thing it would have to be done by "skrill" style thing. Just an idea.(If enough enter could have 1st-2nd-3rd prize money Or idea number 2, same entry cost but we each pick the bet of say odds 1.5-2's and actually place the bets, all money at the end gets split between all that entered.

Seems legal yes. I wanted to do a season long comp initally with £10 entry, but as soon as you mention money people think "con" and dont take part!
As we have a possible 4 way tie for the wining position, I ask that these four people can place their selections by messaging me on private mail. This way it will prevent any interference. For these four you need to make 2 picks this week, your 1 pick as normal which will be used as normal and a second pick. The second pick will be used if we have more than a two way tie for first. So if both badjoe an teo lose, and agrafador and fully win there will be a 4 way tie. This will then go down to the second picks for these guys. IF only 1 of the 4 have a winning second pick he wins the prize, if we have two winning second picks the prize will be split and if we have 3 or more winning second picks we will have to extend the comp until we have a maximum of two winners. Does this make sense to the four potential winners?

B Munich did not win both halve, therefore FULLY123 cannot win!
Badjoe's second pick of HIBBS Overs did not land. Therefore teo can win if both of his picks land!
City currently on 2 goals....If this stands teo will be on 24 wins. The only person that could catch him is badjoe, who has derby to win. If derby do win then both will be on 24 wins and prize will be split.

teo has generiously donated his winnings to the next competition as an initial starting pot.... likely to be a compeition for the world cup.
50 from Betfair, £50 from one user, £20 from another and £10 from me I have heard from the £50 donor who is still willing to donate, I have emailed betfair twice awaiting a reply, of course my donation is safe and I just need to find out the £20 donor via betfair and we will have all the results! There is one donor, NP, who has not replied.
Betfair will be crediting badjoe his £25 split winnings. AS said before the other split will go to the next competition. It looks like the next competition will have to be for the BPL as betfair will be unable to donate for the world cup as they have their own comp

All prize money is being proccessed, only issue is 1 member who donated £20 is not responding to messages.
They last posted 22nd feb so will give them a bit of time to hopefully get back to me!
