He's spot on, Fred is shyte. Nowhere near the cross, falls on the floor and gets a lucky break.

By:

Hansens prediction of a straight forward 2-0 victory for Spain "no doubt about it" is looking a bit off the mark
By:
He said Fred would do nothing but he has.

Gravy train - a position in which one receives excessive and unjustified money or advantages with little or no effort.
It now looks like this train will finally derail next year, and we will finally get rid of the insipid Hansen, r2d2 Shearer and annoying Lawrenson. Hansen was an absolute embarrassment last night. Danny Kelly is correct, it's time to get rid of this old clique crew and bring in some fresh faces, including a football journalist. |
By:
I'll second that Bobby. From what I've seen of the Confed Cup coverage it has been woeful and embarrassing from the old guard.
How Lawrenson keeps his job co-commentating I'll never know, he's become a parody of himself and brings nothing to the table bar scathing ill thought out comments on the teams/players. |
By:
Its like a cosy club for these guys.
How much is Hansen getting paid again? |
By:
My MUTE button is getting worn out !!!!!
By:
sh!t though he is, at least lawro actually turns up to do regular radio commentaries. hansen doesn't even do that for his 20K a week. just swans in to the studio, makes a couple of bog obvious comments and cashes the cheque.
whoever signed off on his contract should be sacked. |
By:
not only does he earn a ridiculous salary for very little work but when the BBC were based down in London, he used to get chauffeur driven from his home in Merseyside every single week.
Now i'm sorry but if you're being paid 20/30/40k a week to work for MOTD then surely the bbc should just say "f*ck off Alan, pay for your own travel" |
By:
YOU´LL WIN NOTHING WITH FREDS.
By:
One of the most annoying things about lawro, which there are many is his hideous laugh when he thinks he's not been picked up. Him, Hansen and the lemon Shearer dont deserve a 1/4 of what you're paid with such a limited knowledge of the English game never mind the world game. Hansen has had the same few phrases he repeats on rewind every other sentence, Shearer if possibly the dumbest cringeworthy **** ever to grace the set. A grade A bellend
By:
Hansen should have been handed his p45 upon the conclusion of the 95/96 EPL when his 'never win anything with kids' prophesy crashed and burned so brilliantly
Always thought it would have been fun had the Director General of the BBC of the time announced mid season that Hansen would get his cards if Man U won the league. Match Of The Day would have been worth every pence of the licence fee to see capt scarlet squirm that year! |
By:
Biscuit, you describe their salaries as ridiculous but what are
you comparing it with? Your income? My income? etc. If you do that every salary paid by the BBC is ridiculous, thinking of the likes of Jonathon Ross, Graham Norton, Carol Vordeman and so on, it's a different world altogether their life style. BTW I agree with you, but as I said, it's a different world. |
By:
kenilworth , do you live in kenilworth ?
By:
Its a **** programme anyway. They should cancel it. According to the people who compile tv viewing figures (http://www.barb.co.uk/) Holby City and the One Show are more popular on BBC1. On ITV All Star Family Fortunes is more popular. It's not ideal that Lineker uses his profile on the BBC to sell crisps either.
By:
the salaries are ridiculous in that they could have got people to do a better job for a fraction of the money.
but it's all a cozy little club, and it's not their money they're dishing out anyway, so the gravy train rumbles on. if it was me, I'd haul them all in and say right, we've decided we're only pay whoever does your job a grand a week. here's a list of the people we're going to approach. do you want to be on it? no? fine - see yourselves out. |
By:
eyeball, no.

The BBC are more interested in NAMES, not on the the quality of
their contribution. All their presenters are NAMES, how else would we have Alan Shearer inflicted on us? |
