Japan have all but sealed 1st place in the group and only need a point to qualify. Australia, however, need a win to give them momentum going into next Tuesday's game against 2nd place Jordan. Here's how the group stands....

Group B
#           Team     MP     W     D     L     F     A     D     P     Last 5 matches
1         Japan     6     4     1     1     14     4     +10     13     L W W D W
2             Jordan     6     2     1     3     6     12     -6     7     W L L W L
3         Australia     5     1     3     1     6     6     +0     6     D W L D D
4         Oman     6     1     3     2     6     9     -3     6     D L W D D
5             Iraq         5     1     2     2     4     5     -1     5     W L L D D

Todays Fixtures:

Japan vs Australia - 11:30am KO
Oman vs Iraq  - 14:00pm KO

Sorry about the data being all over the place, didn't look like that on the preview.

Anyhow, I'm personally thinking of backing either a draw or Japan draw no bet.

Unsure on the goals, depends on who's playing but definitely over 1.5 and maybe over 2.5 if Japan have the big guns out.

In a different thread I mentioned I like Japan on DNB as well.

They most certainly won't be beat looking at that Aussie team ,draw is a likely resukt suits Japan but the DnB Japan is a safe one ud like to imagine you'll at least get ur stake back

Aussies would probably take a draw now as their last 2 games next week are at home to Jordan and iraq

I'm thinking u2.5 here as well, can see the Aussies playing for a 0-0 and Japan nicking it?

Look's like U 5.5 bank job here but I have never touched that market Blush

well the Aussies aren't a power-house scoring team away from home and we all know how much the Japanese love a tight considered 1st half to open up in the second.  Japan DNB and u2.5 for me

Srichaphan or Ancic?

If a draw is the likely result, why not just lay Australia instead of Japan draw no bet?

Hope it fixes itself before this match starts as I have quite a large exposure that I wouldn't normally take In Play.

Im Aussie. Not sure how Japan are odds against after our last showing against Oman at home. Defence was as bad as you could imagine, opened up time and again by the Omanis. In desperation, we are turning to Lucas Neill... a champion, but old and slow, and Japan are usually quick. Lucas to partner the Og-Monster who ain't the fastest either and McKay at left back and he ain't a left back... Too much left to the likes of Bresciano and Cahill who just can't keep producing forever. We are in real trouble. Having said that, the players will lift to play Japan. A great rivalry between the teams and the comparitive positions mean Australia have far more to play, not sure about Japan, but I don't think they'd be upset putting us in trouble and until they are 100% qualified you can't let up.

Japan DNB a rock solid bet.

Australia lay should land, just seen them pull it of the fire when they're backs against the wall too many times to join in. The Aussie battler spirit can never be discounted.

Application Programming Interface - a way of using betfair directly rather than going through the website.
