Roll up, roll up for the best league in the world and the "fixed game". The whole of the Argentina has been talking about this game for weeks. The betting community has been awash with rumours that this game is fixed. Bookies, originally, were alseep to the rumours and then took the game off the boards. Some still are not offering prices.
For what it's worth I don't believe this is a fixed game. Ok one look at the prices tells you something fishy is going on but I really don't buy it.
Fixed game or not Quilmes are more than capable of beating Racing. And if they do then people will say "I told u it was fixed". As the Quilmes coached said yesterday: "It's as if people only think we can only beat Racing if they let us".
Let's get to the rumours. Independiente, Racing's arch rival, are sitting in the 3rd relegation spot. Tonight's rival Quilmes are sitting 5th from bottom. A win for Quilmes will edge them closer to safety and Independiente closer to the trap door. They say some of Racing's "Barra Bravas" have been threatening Racing's players that they must lose this game.
There is one massive flaw in the "fixed game" theory and that is Argentinos Jrs. They are dropping like a stone and on current form they will be relegated instead of Independiente. So even if Racing throw this game, it doesn't make Independiente's situation any worse.
Quilmes are 1.57 to win this game and that is just insanity. IN a "normal" game I would have priced them up at 3 to win this game.
Quilmes are missing their best player Miguel Caneo. Quilmes have only won 2 of their last 7 home games. Quilmes have been in poor form recently.
Racing are a good side but a very inconsistent side. Their record of 5 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats speaks volumes for them. But my god there is no way on god's green earth should they be 8 to win at Quilmes.
Their best player last season Ricardo Centurion is due to start tonight after coming back from injury.
I might end up with egg on my face but at 1.57 I'm prepared for it. You just have to lay Quilmes for a lot of money at that price. Also must back Racing at 8. Massive value.

You'd rather lose some so it feels like you at least did something 
French Open has to be the most frustrating tournament of the year.
For my strategy the lack of and the standard of the streams. I'm sure Wimbledon will probably be similar. And also - mind this is probably a knock-on effect - the shocking liquidity in so many markets.

Betfair video has this down for 1215 start too. I'm guessing that's the source of the wrong info.

That's my take too. A watching brief and see if any opportunities arise inrunning.
Quilmes' price will drift like mad in running once it appears Racing are trying
im gonna wait and see if can get better price IR but the other league games only have a few hundred matched.this one has nearly 400k and all going on home side.looks simple.home win
serious money tho.comparing it to the other games its phenomenal.would love to lump them but i think ill just enjoy watching this one see how it pans out
After less than two minutes, I think I agree with Clay that this price will drift fairly quickly given how Racing play.

I also agree with that. It might come off, it might be a genuine win for Quilmes, but I think that money is just getting stuck into what it thinks is free money at odds it really shouldn't be doing.
the amounts going on tho.surely mugs wouldnt have those stakes.will be interesting to see how this one goes.still think the home side will win this one.probably be a late winner so if its level with 5mins left ill throw something on a goal to be scored.
Yeah, I think the fix will come off but both teams - particularly Racing - play it like a genuine match.

Been a normal Argie game till I turned it off. Easy to make any possible fix stick when they always play like this.
There were more Argentineans in the Champions League than any other country other than Brazil last year. All their talent is basically asset-stripped from the league.

I have an argie co-worker that agrees their football is dreadfull, its mostly passing the ball around until it gets to the keeper. The one guy that eventually deciddes to try and actually play is almost immediately shipped to europe.

I think the all fix thing was around throwing their biggest rival to a lower division. So that's why racing fans are singing.

It's been confirmed today that Racing's coach Luis Zubeldia will leave after the season is over. The bad results are the main reason but apparently he's not happy with last Friday's result and performance.
Friday's game really has to be investigated and I'm surprised that bookies paid out on this way.
