Perhaps he's got the same agent as whoever advised United to spend 27m on Anderson and Bebe
By:
Probably had similar thoughts to the numpty who paid £30m for Juan Sebastion Veron, and then sold him for £15m.
By:
He can't go out, his shrink is due in 5 mins, and he only does hospital rounds once a day.

1.01 the bitter bettor is fat, spotty and a virgin

By:
that pony tailed prlck isn't worth £5 let alone £15 million.

By:
the bb has gotta be bbc,hes boring, funny as fckn cancer, who else can it be

Fair enough comment, but JSV was a real football player. AC on the other hand, is a carthorse. |
By:
You forgot to add back the difference between AC and Torres' wages over 2.5 years VS.
They'll get their £35 back, IMO. ![]() |
By:
Not forgetting the £28m they made on Torres

Yep that could, be true. But difference being that Man U are a Big Club and can take the hit....... because of them being in the Champions League. Liverpool might have to raise the season tickets prices or on the shirt tops. |
By:
Whereas Man United never raise ticket prices or bring out new kits
I appreciate this won't affect you but aren't united ST holders forced to buy tickets for cup games regardless of whether they even want to attend? |
By:
I hear Mike Ashley managed to get a 20% sell on clause into the bargain n all.
As a thank you he let them have their luis suarez t-shirts at cost, fair play, what a guy. |
By:
Bebe`s still looking for the ball after his mis-timed pass 3 weeks ago
By:
Chuckle...chuckle...chuckle!
By:
goodbye donkey....and farewell.
By:
IMO they only signed him because Kenny "I will sign anyone who's crap and English" Dalglish was in charge and the new owners were too scared to say no.
By:
spending 35m on him was a mystery and after 2 and a half years how anyone can now spend 17m on him is an even greater mystery.........i have no idea what west ham are doing...........hes worth about 3m. thats the reality.
By:
its big sam and his aerial bombardment, he`s been watching the dambusters too much
By:
arsenal's record signing's still arshavin at 15M, yet they're always top 4.
players liverpool have spent more than that on recently: andy carroll (35M) jordan henderson (16-20M) stewart downing (20M?) glenn johnson (10-17M, depending how you work it out) alberto aquilani (17M) ...and they're nowhere near. man utd might buy their share of overpriced stinkers, but at least they win the league anyway. someone needs to have a serious look at wtf's going on with liverpool's transfer policy. |
By:
suarez 22 mil , looks like being sold 40 mill, torres sold 50 mil,
By:
cant remember how much torres cost
By:
true, but arsenal have sold players on for big money too. it's the expensive liverpool flops that have opened up the gap between them and the top teams.
the henderson and carroll deals in particular need close scrutiny, imo. |
By:
not to mention xavi alonso , bought for 10 and half mil , sold for 30
By:
well, yes. all clubs get mark ups on some players. especially wenger's arsenal:
RVP: -----------2.75M // 24M Fabregas:-------? // 27M Song:-----------1M // 15M Nasri:----------12M // 25M K Toure:--------0.15M // 16M Adebayor:-------3M // 25M but it's the costly flops that have left liverpool unable to compete with a team buying cheaper players than them. |
By:
true , hopefully brendan rogers has a better fist of it , i like his philosophy and his transfer policy so far
By:
he's definitely an improvement degsy. it's just a question of how long it takes to undo the damage.
By:
carroll got incredibly lucky, I don't think he is premiership quality... and I really hope I'm wrong

By:
Never given a chance by the charlatan manager at Liverpool, and now gonna' become the latest battering ram for the odious luddite Allardyce. Shame, he's better than chasing James Collins hoofs up field and watching Matt Jarvis's crosses sail twenty feet over his head. Should be somewhere like Everton.
By:
on his day hes a handfull for most defences, is fearless. if it was shearer they,d be purring about him. its whether he stays injury free is the problem
By:
If it was Shearer........

as a West Ham fan I can only say....
![]() |
By:
As a West Ham fan, I'm highly delighted. As the majority of our fans are.
By:
15 million?
By:
15 million is ok. Not altogether pleased about the weekly wage, but that's what it takes these days.
By:
michu 2 million
By:
Michu was the bargain of the season and probably most seasons. What West Ham now need is somebody like Jordan Rhodes to play alongside Carroll.
By:
I just dont like norvern football bruv
By:
it's actually closer to £20m for Carrol with add ons and the £2m loan fee already received.
By:
I just don't like second tier football.
