The best league in the world returns tonight with an uber muggy game.
A few weeks ago Argentinos Juniors had a 13 point lead over Independiente in the Averages relegation battle. But four defeats later - including two shocking performances - see Argentinos staring down the barrel of relegation. They need to start scoring goals. They only scored 7 goals this season and haven't scored more than 1 in any game.
Belgrano have been very muggy this campaign as well. They have drawn 6 of their last 8 games, three of them 0-0. But thanks to their great Inicial campaign Belgrano are only a few points away from securing a Copa Sudamericana place which will be a massive achievement for them.
Argentinos need to change and change fast if they are to avoid relegation. Of course it's not impossible for them to do this. Coach Lombardi ripped into his players in his press conference after last week's shocking performance. Shaking with rage he said the players have no idea how to avoid relegation and they have lost their nerve.
In this campaign, Belgrano have drawn 5 of their 6 away games, their defeat was away to Newell's. So you can tell Belgrano are better playing as a counter-attacking side. Scoring goals is a problem for Belgrano too. They have only scored two away from home and conceded four.
It's very easy to oppose Argentinos as they are a shambles at the moment and Belgrano will fancy getting at least a draw. And they have a decent record away from home.
I have backed Belgrano DNB.
Everything points to unders. An early away goal could open this up as Argentinos can't afford to lose but other than that I can't see more than one goal.
