reading all the whispers and rumours , this may be the way the Everton board are thinking.

They will be heavily influenced by Moyes' opinion , and he seems to be talking of using the talent from within the club.

Also they are very money conciuos , the above would be cost free to appoint , and ensure continuity and stability , coupled with knowlede of current and future players coming through.

they may yet appoint Martinez , but I would have no problems if they decide to give Phil a chance , he has the character and 'probably' the ability to become a good manager for us.

I have laid my Martinez bet at 2.80 and stuck half on Phil Neville , I am feeling confident it will be either one of them.

anyone else think the Phil Neville , Steve Round combo would be a good decision?, or if SR were to join ManU , Stubbsy/Weir/or Big Dunc stepping up.

Laddies 6/4 now - someone will have been sacked for going 5/2 when next best was 13/8 !

If its internal (and its starting to look that way) I'd guess Neville or Weir.  Wolves type debacle imo, chairman seems quite clueless.

Looking at Phil Neville's last couple tweets makes you wonder whats next for him.  Hinting at some kind of coaching at Everton.

Reposting a tweet from a reporter friend on his twitter account.  Obviously endorsing the message in some fashion.

if they do go for neville, its a cheap skate way out, and gives bill enough cash for another flop show

I still think Pereira is worth a flyer, especially as the odds have drifted out due less noise I guess.  He is free and by all indications there has been contact with him, reports indicated Everton reps were at the Porto/Benfica match last weekend.

Could see a Neville/Weir or whoever internal stepping up to be assistants.

Offical twitter of Everton FC may be dropping hints as well.  I'm guessing Weir w/Neville assistant if this is really what they've done.

Phil Neville and David Weir have been shoehorned into the press box to watch proceedings.

Does any of the backroom staff have the right qualifications? pretty sure you need the Uefa pro license.
Think Round does but not sure about the rest. Maybe Round as manager, Neville as assistant

Lets hope it forces his price down further.

He has 3 World cup qualifiers in June.

By all accounts its a borderline disaster in progress inside the US team.  Players aren't too impressed with his methods.

All kinds of names being thrown around, Solskjaer, Klinsmann, Pereira, Martinez, McKay, Laudrup, internal folks etc.  Will not stop.

Don't think they will sack him just before 3 qualifiers.

In the 10 years i have been doing manager markets, never seen so many internal candidates?

Not sure b365 market means a whole lot.

Klinsmann appears to be out of his depth with the US national team, pretty eye opening insight in this recent article.  Cannot imagine why anybody would want to bring him on.

Link probably won't come through, google Klinsmann friendly fire and the sportingnews article will come up first.  Really quite a shocking depiction of how the team is being run.
