It's the word on the street round here at the minute. But doubt it's any more than just an option at this stage.

would he leave celtic for everton ?
By:
like a shot.
By:
why would he leave like a shot? he has a chance of winning things at celtic, the new man utd manager couldn't win a thing at everton in 10 years!

By:
Is it cos hes a ging.

If Neil Lennon gets the Everton job then look for the world ending next week.
Disaster isn't a strong enough word. |
By:
Not sure he would leave like a shot
Clearly has a huge passion for club as player and now manager. Just building up reputaton and support good feeling with fans(all be it limited serious opposition to defeat in spl) Champions league every season. That night vs barca seemed very special to him and club from outside. Maybe he will feel adventure far from done at celtic. |
By:
All that said im far from convinced he will be offered the job anyway.
By:
he was saying only last week he wants an EPL job,god help the club who employ him.
By:
He's (Nelly Lennon) done a terrific job this season. People don't realise just how hard it is to win the title against eleven skint clubs and a conspiracy. The boy done good.
By:
what about oneil? a lad at my football mentioned this last night. surly worth a punt at 33s?
By:
Yep its widely known he'd go like a shot, for some strange reason he believes he's a top manager

Surely Lennon does not have the pedigree for a Prem job?
You mean like Moyes did? And Fergie, after all, he "only" came from Aberdeen. What a pompous phucking comment. |
By:
mc roller you do realise celtic play against 12 men every game
By:
cant compare fergies efforts in scotland with lennons alias
fergies far greater |
By:
Neil Lennon 100% no
winning stuff with celtic is like frankel beating a southwell sand monster. it means jack-sh1t |
By:
He's in a no win situation at Celtic now that Rangers have gone.
He's expected to win the prem, so gets no plaudits for that, and in Europe, he may have the odd glory night, but he knows he's never going to have a real chance of going very far. At Everton, he gets to manage better players like Fellaini and Baines (if they stay), he can have a good go at getting Champs league football and with a few savvy additions, I think they could have a decent crack at the Europa. |

This may be totally left field and feel free to rip the pi** is you wish, but does anyone think McCarthy could have a go? I personally think he's a very decent manager and Wolves certainly wouldn't be where they are now if they had kept faith with him.
By:
why is Malky MacKay such a bad shout? I'm not sure he is happy at Cardiff and would surely jump at a chance to manage a club like Everton. MacKay is a v v good manager imho
By:
Cant see Lennon going to be honest but there seems to be a lot of people complaining about Celtics poor form even though the league is won , no doubt its the same muppets who wanted him gone before christmas in his first full season.
By:
Why wouldn't he be happy at a team he's just won the Championship with

Did you see Hughes pathetic attempts at slyly pleading for the job today.
Yesterdays interview made me laugh. Being interviewed at his house about Fergie and behind him on his bookshelves were a load books with titles like 'What makes us winners' and 'The Guide to Success' I wonder when he's gonna read em? |
By:
Hughes will now turn his attention to Chelsea

Neil Lennon has a better record and more experience in European football than David Moyes. Do people remember Everton's disaster of a Champions League campaign a few years ago? Lennon took Celtic to the last 16 this season going further than Chelsea & Man City. He had a better record in head - heads with Walter Smith when he was manager of Rangers. Was only 1 point behind Rangers in his first season when Walter Smith was in charge.
Some people on here don't have a clue what they're talking about. A lot of the negatives posted towards Neil Lennon is of personal hatred towards the man. Finally, Sir Alex & Moyes rate Neil Lennon very HIGHLY as a young manager. Personally I hope he stays with Celtic for another few years |

hughes has no chance of any premier job
i seen him in the news also then i just basically stopped listening.a few year ago i actually would listen to what he had to say but i cant even listen to his trash talk |

"Do people remember Everton's disaster of a Champions League campaign a few years ago?"
What, going out in the qualies having had a perfectly good tie equaliser ruled out by an 'elite' referee brought back from retirement for 1 match, the 1 match that could have seen 5 English teams in the Champions League proper? The team knocking out were a missed penalty away from winning the Semi Final that year. Dope. |
By:
I hope Lennon stays at Celtic for a good few years also.
