Looks like they're taking the steps to put it back in play. My 'winnings' were withdrawn and are now tied up with a market created again. Suspended though

Jesus Effing Christ what is wrong with these Betfair clowns?
By:
Backed under 1.5 goals, settled as a winner at half time, then "f ixed", then no opportunity to trade out.
Lots of people bet on here because of the opportunity to trade, when that is taken away by a betfair error they should stand the losses. Its the basics of customer service, if you f uck up you have to stand the losses. That's how good and well run companies operate. |

2-1 Bochum

I have sympathy with you, but anyone betting on these slightly more obscure games with Betfair, particularly on a Saturday, needs to rethink.
There is another exchange site, that is far more reliable. |
By:
Obscure games with no feed, I agree, but there's perfectly good coverage on B365 of this game. No reason for it to be suspended/closed
By:
By:
Yes... But how many times do Betfair lose their feed when others maintain their's ??
I would say that happens a lot. |
By:
Not a problem with trades going wrong because of picture losses or internet going down, if you're going to trade football then that's a risk you take.
This had nothing to do with that, someone or something at Betfair settled all the bets on this game as a "winner" at half time, realised they'd f ucked up and took off (not suspended) all in running markets. They were just lucky they didn't do it on a higher profile game or all hell would've broken loose. |
By:
First they voided the bets and return liabilities into customers accoount (around 12:14, check your account statements) than, at 13:00, they consider the bets valid again... why they change first decision?
By:
It's a disgrace. I am awaiting a response from them on this. Close the markets if you must, but void the bets. Don't close the markets, then think "f**k we've ballsed it up here", make them "suspended" and then settle once the match is over.
And yes, even if i was on the right side of this shambles, i would expect the void. |

Luso, that's not what happened on my account, they settled my under 1.5 goals bet as a winner at half time and paid the winnings into my account. They then realised they'd made a **** up put a f ix in and took the money out. I then went onto the the match to try and lay my bet off to get my stake back and a small win either way only to find that because they'd made a huge f uck up they'd taken all in running markets off. A few minutes later the second goal went in and my stake was gone.
Bottom line is they f ucked up and don't have the decency to acknowledge it in any way because it was a low profile game and only a few people got stung. In my working life i've always been taught that in a customer service industry if the customer loses out through your error its tough titties and you stand the losses. |
