Bale won

By:
PFA Team of the Year: De Gea; Zabaleta, Ferdinand, Vertonghen, Baines; Mata, Carrick; Hazard, Bale; Suarez, Van Persie.
By:
Hazard
Wouldn't have been in my squad, let alone team |
By:
PFA Championship Team of the Year: Schmeichel, Trippier, Morgan, Hudson, Bridge, Zaha, Ince, Whittingham, Bolasie, Murray, Vydra.
By:
further embarrassment for roy "footballing reasons" hodgson.
By:
Ferdinand? At best he's been the 3rd best Utd centre back this season.
By:
Vertonghen? WTF?????
By:
Zaha named Championship Player of the year
By:
Vertongen is a very strange choice.
By:
Good player, but considering Spurs haven't kept a clean sheet since the Queen was a Princess.......
By:
rather have mignolet in me team than de gea
By:
rather have Begovic than either, or our boy, very underrated keeper Lloris.
By:
hasn't vertogen played mostly at full back this season
also how many league games has De Gea started this season ? I didn't realise he was 1st choice even until recently |
By:
think I could have played in goal for man u this season and they would have still won league.
By:
who won player of year?
By:
He has done ok there's no doubting it but to say he's been one of the best is pushing it.
By:
He's played a fair few games at left-back, but mostly in the middle. Personally, I don't see how he would get in the team if kaboul was fit. And Sandro would be captain of the above eleven had he stayed fit. Awesome player, an absolute monster.
By:
no arsenal player in the team.
the inclusion of ferdinand shows what a fiasco the footballing hierarchy in this country is. mind ferdy would have the race card out in seconds should he not be included, even after calling ashley a coconut. |
By:
bale won
By:
You could make a case for Cazorla, but none of the rest of the Arsenal team imo.
By:
also how many league games has De Gea started this season ? I didn't realise he was 1st choice even until recently
27 out of 35 He has played in all league games since Dec 1 |
By:
the website I looked at said 25 out of 35 or about 70% - not great for a keeper who has not been injured and similar to Ferdinand's stats
The problem is that players wont be voting just on league games so both Ferdinand and De gea will have benefitted from high profile Champions league matches v Real Madrid whereas as Bergovic and Mignolet wont I presume United wont be buying Bergovic now ? |
By:
Zaha winning Championship player of the year is a bit of a joke too, no doubt his move to Man Utd influenced the voting
By:
Surprised michu didnt get a look in
By:
bales just won both awards
By:
Surely he had to? If he's player of the year, he must be young player of the year too?
By:
don't think he did 2 years when he won the main award
young player award is a farce anyway. 23 is not a young player |
By:
Jack Wilshire won the year Bale won the main award didnt he?
Farcical really. |
By:
Bale is 24 in 3 months!
By:
young player should be an u-21 award.
By:
There must have been at least ten better centre halves than Rio and Vert this season, neither of whom was even the best defender on their own team ... aside from them two and maybe the Dunkin thief, its a reasonable enough effort. As for the young player nominees, they're truly laughable.
By:
Amazed Jagielka wasn't in the team
By:
Dawson, Evans, Nastasic, Kompany, Williams all would have been at least credible .... Ferdinand can only be absurd political voting by the players, it beggars belief ! At least Verts (when he didnt lose it and leave Dawson to try and save the day) scored and made a few goal when he gallivanted forward.
By:
Suarez booed (fair enough) when announced in team of the year, Ched Evans the rapist applauded when in League 1 team of the year last year
of course ![]() |
