I have not been on betfair for ages, just logged in and found I had a bit of money in my account, £15.58. I have been thinking for a while about a nice and easy way of making a bit of money on betfair. And with a lot of patience, discipline, help and encouragement (plus a bit of banter) from you guys Im sure I can do it.
The method is simple, I will be doing it mainly two ways.
1.) Backing final scores when trading at 1.05 or 1.06
2.) Pre match unders markets i.e under 4.5 or 5.5
Unlike some previous threads were people are lumping a full bank on every bet, stakes will be between 10 and 20% of my bank.
I will post my selections when I can on here when possible, and regular updates. But its always a bit diffacult when you dont want her indoors to find out and being a family man and all.

Hi Trigger, I was thinking about 2 to 3 months. Like I said earlier, I have done this before, albeit a several years when I was new to Betfair and had the patience. I thought by doing a blog it would help no end to achieve this goal.

Nice one. I am kinda doing the same thing but not as a challenge. Backing unders mainly in play. Have a 700 float. betting 10% of float max.

The Bhoys ......Ive only just started doing it. Not really made much yet. Not really time consuming. Its a hobbyfor me really. Just get on the laptop when the kids are in bed. And the Mrs is watching Corry.

Trigger that's the spirit you need, no pressure, just see it as a hobby. I do the same as you, kids gone to bed, the misses watching crap TV, have a little play. I have done this before and will do it again, the winning is easy, very easy, losing is hard, very hard.
Just thought by doing a blog I will keep my discipline, and it has helped already. I want to take the wife and kids to Florida next year, so this is way of getting a grand or two together rather easily.
I will prove the doubters wrong with this, unlike a lot of people on betfair, I do not and will not spend my life stuck in front of screen betting on everything that moves.

suppose if u have discipline wen u lose to keep it to 4 quid a pop u cant go wrong as ur not guna lose to often
The bhoys, very true, but as time goes on the £4 will be £6, £8, £13, £20 and so on, little and often is the key.
Same as you Sir. But im lucky my missus doesn't because she knows im sensible. I did the free matched betting thing already. So, have money aside for Christmas from that. Plus a good few quid more....
Agree losing is hard but you have to look at the big picture. Reddding out is as hard if your going to cut your losses. But that's where the discipline comes in.

So after 16 investments, two days, starting with £15.58, the bank is now at £19.12. About 25% profit
More important, I have not spent hours in front of the laptop. Little and often is the way to do it, I will get hit, I know I will, but I will not be wiping my whole bank out with it.

As the bank grows to about £50, I will be only doing 10 to 15% bank stakes. Not much to go on with regard to Mondays games, so may only be doing a couple or so.

No sooner had I placed my investment, those god dam red necks from Colorado have scored a goal, Happy days. Thats me done for day, may give Monday a miss, got loads to do. Will speak later guys, a have good one and kept it sensible
One of your rules....when down to 1.05/1.06!!! Houston at 1.25; looks as though there was a bit of time left for that goal. Unlucky, but I think you may feel discipline went ????? Its a real tough strategy, just look how many goals get scored in stoppage time. For some reason when the 'added time' board goes up, teams seem to let go. Good luck anyway in your next.

Fouraces well spotted,was actually under 6.5 goals not 5.5 as I stated earlier, very close to losing that one.

I might join in if that's ok - I have a similar approach to you in that this place is just somwhere to be when the better half is distracted by crap on TV. I do like calling it "investments" though, never looked at it that way.
