Are Newcastle vunelrable today after their euro exploits? I would be much more confident about taking them on with Sunderland if Sunderland had a goalscorer. If Graham or Wickham start then I think I will have a small little punt on Sunderland to win via the 'Di Canio factor'.
By:
But the di Canio is over exuberated bu11ocks IMO, Newcastle are the better team, stronger team, technically better team, have many goal scorers in sissoko cisse cabaye santon, and even their 12th player (the fans) will play a massive role!

The game is in England you bellend.

they have had 2 1-1 draws at SJP in recent meetings with Sund taking a 1st half lead and Newc equalising 2nd half. I think they will both be relatively happy with a draw. What is Newc's main priority here? to win or not to lose? Newc don't draw many at home but can see both sides settling for the draw if level after 70 mins, rather than risking it. Sund don't have to go for broke just yet

By:
red card in their last 3 and 4 of last 5 meetings too. Webb is ref today
By:
what criteria do you use for measuring whether a team is 'technically' or 'stronger ' better ?
By:
very windy up hear this morning, could spoil what looked like an open attacking game
By:
its bizarrely very mild too Donny.
By:
Nothing against Sunderland, but a Newcastle victory will probably be the best result for Stoke. Then we will have a crunch match with Sunderland in a couple of weeks.
By:
strong feeling for 0 0 in this game for some reason. sunderlands lack of quality, newcastle tired from thursdays exertions and nerves of needing not to lose. 11/1 with bet victor and chance of your money back for a sending off
By:
I need a 1-1 to keep my Dream Team Predictor going on to the Stoke game.
By:
Sunderland h/t win main bet as the Boss likes to start with intensity, smaller play on f/t win as well & 2-3..could easily be a Red but card prices no value now..gl all

mclean to be shown a card, the mans an idiot and rises to any bait.

Sunderland 2.82 to be relegated as it stands
what price will they be following a win, a draw and a loss, iyo? 3.2, 2.96, 2.24 is my guess |
By:
The big question is, will the players be awake?

should be about 3.8 if they win
By:
Sunderland have never beaten Newcastle at St James Park since November 2000

lay of sunderland for me at 5.2
By:
draw best bet here..both teams will be happy with that.. small back of 0-0 as well
By:
Newcastle were much the better team in the reverse fixture, close win for the toon for me
By:
lay of sunderland Newcastle will be to stong in the end.
but I have been wrong before. |

small punts on 0ver 2.5 and 3.5
