I'm looking forward to this game more than any this weekend.
Independiente, one of the giants of Argentinian and South American football, are staring relegation in the face. Their situation gets worse and worse and it's basically win or bust tonight.
There is such an edge to this game. There are rumours that one of the Independiente players was threatened by a "Barra Brava" to win this game or else!!!! What a threat! And these guys are not joking either.
Union are not in a much better position and it can't be long before they are officially relegated. Their form was not bad a few games back, they caused a sensation with victory at Boca. But they haven't scored in the last two games and have only picked up one point in the last two games.
Independiente are lurching from one crisis to another. Only one goal in the last 5 games. Now it's the turn of 19 year old Fernandez to try and score goals for them.
Nothing surprises me in this league. Threats to Independiente players plus the prospect of one of the giants being relegated could lead to a lot of favours from officials. If Independiente don't win this game then they had better side preparing for life in the second division.
Both teams haven't been scoring goals recently but it wouldn't surprise me if there were goals tonight. Both teams need the 3 points and I think both teams will go for it.
Independiente should win this game, they are the better team but I wouldn't put a penny on them.
I'm having a small bet on over 2.5 and over 3.5 goals.
if Independiente are losing this game it would not surprise me if their fans went on the rampage. it's coming. At some point this season they are going to wreck the joint.

Bit of a slow start but coming on now. Still remember that Boca game the other day, blew so many chances it was disturbing.
Im tempted for over 1.5. I doubt there'd be any more than 2 goals.

Really starting to detest Argy football...again. Lots of huff and puff and at the end of the day almost always nothing.

thanks OP, the only reason I got involved in this game (over0.5) was your analysis of the game. I never bet on goals in Argentina.
how they allowed that Indy goal to stand is a mystery - or maybe not 
Emile Heskey would be a lethal finisher in this league
