BETFAIR DOWN AGAIN!!

a casual apology for INCONVENIENCE doesn't really cut it betfair. it is quite a bit more than an INCONVENIENCE to watch a guaranteed decent trading win wiped out without the ability to TRADE it. is this not a TRADING SITE???

Today I went into the bank. It was very busy. It was Saturday. Suddenly, they said all their systems were down. The customers were nonplussed. It happens a lot. The staff told them that they may have lost their money. But they apologised. So everyone went home happy.

you all know what this site is like on a busy saturday yet you still bet, who's really the mugs here?

I dont think its a security or reliability issue.
Has it not been much more frequent since the reports in the news that Betfair profits had dropped and someone up the top said they had diversified too much and were going to concentrate on fixed markets. Heck of a coincidence.

Rather pointless though. Reputation is for the exchange feature. If its moving to fixed odds it becomes no different than any other site or a bookies ... well no different aside from having a s**t reliability record of course ;)

I logged in and got some new red and blue monstrosity of a new fixed odds site for a while

It's Saturday. I hope BF Bingo is working. I mean that should be their priority nr 1.

Seeing as we pay for the service and it then crashes, normally when most of us have bets placed maybe we should just take the buggers to court...

They need to get a product before advertising it....shocking service! I can see bdack overtaking this lot in the next 12 months.

I've taken some money out my account and am going to put it into B-td-q. I know the liquidity is not so good but some is better than none.

there will never be enough liquidity unless people start using it seriously - it would be great to have an alternative but it just can't compete at the moment

IF BF continue like this, soon there will be liquidity. What amazes me most. is the fact they do not about any of their clients, not even trying to somehow sweeten the deal. That is because there is nowhere else for traders to go

There has been a downward spiral for the last 6 months since the introduction, of the beta site and all the other nonsense such as bingo and arcade slots or whatever that **** is.  Live video has went down hill just as quick and on top of that when you log in know you find yourself sometimes directed to the betfair bookies ffs. They don't give a **** but why dont people start moving their money over to bet D A Q once and for all. They're having the cake and eating it atm

My issues with Betfair currently

1) random live video problems (see my site feedback thread, I've been waiting for help for weeks)
2) Site outages.
3) when i login I'm ALWAYS sent to the bloody fixed odds page
4) The customer service support are clueless.

It takes me half an hour to get to the exchange I get sent to the pointless sportsbook, click go to exchange, click revert to old, click yes i am sure i want to leave the new faster betting experience (when infact it's 2 years old now and it's slower and full of bugs) then when i get to the exchange the bet i wanted has gone.

5) When i click live video it closes the f**king screen, have to then click it to open again.

WHAT THE F**K

AND WTF is wrong with the purple people ?  Betfair is ripe and juicy for the picking, and what are the purples doing about it ?  NOTHING !  If they ran a promotion, spent a few pounds, advertised for people, or even run seeding bots like BF does, people would leave here and go there.  Why does BQ stand by with their hands in their pocket ?  Didn't anyone in management over there go to business school ?

i have been trying to use purple for a few weeks now ,and every time i have a job getting my horse matched

Second Rate? I know they have some arguably dodgey business practices re driving out other supermarkets or whatever but Tesco are pretty good compared
to the other non budget supermarkets. I try others but generally go back to the Evil T.

With my betting Tesco Value beans and Vodka (they now sell them in the same can, pre mixed) has got me through some hard times :)

You could sue them for anything. Whether you win or not is another matter.

shares were once £15 i believe, last time i looked £7 and the way things are going , who knows where the low is.

Why do we use betfair? Because its really the only place there is.

We continue to use betfair, because we have confidence in the stability and security of the platform.

This in turn helps betfair as they take a % of our profits.

What they fail to realise, is that "confidence in the stability and security of the platform." is absolutely massive in retaining our custom, if this carries on, people will just simply walk away.

why don't we all; take our money out every time it goes down , after it comes back up for the amount of time its been down, that would really **** them up

There are a number of other exchanges. Lack of liquidity on them is not necessarily a problem, if youre offering odds, people will take them even if theyre not correct, you just have to have them on the market earlier than on here.

hearing the MC in the boxing introduce a match I can't bet on with the words "sponsored by betfair - don't settle for less!" was especially calming.

Just got a bet thru on the Bellew fight..

Considering share markets have been booming for a year or so now I would have thought 'investors' in Betfair would be sick as pigs at the performance, they've got such a great product and a virtual monopoly and yet they manage to fcuk it up like this? Management must be the worst in the world.

Amazingly I made some money out of that. But I'd rather it didn't happen.

was at football earlier so didn't realise it had already gone down once today. Twice in one day is impressive stuff!

I have a purple account already, think i'm going to start using it more. This lot are jokers.
