El Salvador goalkeeper made a very good save just a minute before to deny them the opening goal, but there was nothing he could do about this one; defenders left him out in the cold on this one.

even without the altitude Ecuador are a decent side these days, Valencia, Noboa, Ayovi, Montero and of course Chucho Benitez. At altitude they will kill these El Salvador mugs.

this is in Quito, it's about 9k feet above sea level. Huge advantage.

Quito (capital of Ecuador) is located at 2,850m above sea level, Bolivia's capital (La Paz) is located at 3,640m above sea level.

Curious as to how that feels as a person coming from the low lands...

there's no suspicious chunks of cash though, i think it's just people piling in for what they hope is free cash. 2-0 at ht would suggest an easy 4 or 5-0 once the altitude kicks in and El Salvador tire.

There's no outwardly visible cash movements. I very rarely watch south American markets, so the patterns maybe normal, but it looks to me like the market makers are not in control.

Under 5.5 goals was never in danger () and there were plenty of opportunities to trade out, but I don't think I would have felt comfortable if I had stuck with it so I'm happy I wasn't involved for too long. Plenty of other matches on tomorrow, there's no rush. :angel:
