fascinating battle of football philosophy at play here, the purists v the modern machine like set up
really looking forward to it,barca have been poor lately but may well click with an earlyish goal,no value bets although did back barca at 7.2 to win champions league, trade out if they go ahead

All depends on Milan as we all know that barca will do what they always do. If Milan defend like they did in the 1st leg and hit on the counter then they've got a great chance. If they defend like they did in the 1st half at Arsenal last year then they'll be bang in trouble. I actually think Milan will score and go through as i can't see Barca getting 4.

the only thing against our defence is abbiati CryCry and lack of pace

Lack of pace won't matter in the Nou camp because you'll probably be defending on the edge of your area all game

Is Ambrosini plays, Barca are out. If he doesn't, it will be close.

Simple.

Barca have problems at the back and have had all season. Yeah they kept out Deportivo, big deal.
Going to be a good tussle, both teams to score is the bet for me.

btts @1.82,might be a decent price, barca must be very wary of an ac goal and i think ac might be a bit emboldened by the 1st leg, even an ac milan win wouldnt surprise, fck knows,ha can see every fckn possibility,gl

Anyone that watches Italian football tell me about Mario Yepes? Thirty-seven and the last time I saw him from memory was against Spurs when he got the run around. Seems having this guy in defence should be a major concern?

If Barcelona setup like they have last few games it's hard to see them winning the game let alone qualifying. Someone suggested Villa through the middle and Messi and Pedro on the sides. That could be their only hope. Plus I always think Barca are at their best when Iniesta and Xavi pair up in midfield.

Cant see Messi playing on the right, the whole system is built around him and to take him away from the middle would be a massive gamble.

Could see him dropping deeper behind a front 2/3 though depending if they play 3 or 4 at the back.

Not a gamble they need to take? He got no space in central areas in first leg. At least out wide he can beat a man and drag another player from the middle to help contian him giving space inside. If he drops deeper it will be more endless possession 40 yards from goal :(

No the idea would be to have players on front of him to occupy the defence.

Cant see any chance of him playing false nine as he did in the first leg.

A few papers predict Alexis and Pedro as wide attackers. ALexis Crazy

They seem to be saying  a 3-4-3 with Tello, Sanchez and Alves as the three players infront of Messi.

Although cant see Pedro not playing if he was rested at the weekend.

Agreed, because he is very relaxed on the ball he can take some risks to many. Also can be hot headed but I think he is playing much better this year having fully recovered from the injury and the fact he is now the main man leading a relatively young and inexperienced defense. He needs to be a rock.

A player who did surprise me was Montolivo in the 1st leg, I didn't think he had it in him. You could even have said Xavi could have learned from his performance to try a more direct pass or have a shot at goal an odd time to mix it up

0-0 at 28 surely not the worst bet ever. milan kept them out once, and won't exactly be busting a gut to score themselves.

also like unders if 3.1's right. if it even gets to 2-0 both teams may well settle for ET.

Messi at 1/2 To Score Tonight is a bit too short to me.............defenders will play shut down role on him and not give him any space

Mexes was also injured the other night, just read he is doing a late fitness test this evening. Some guy called De Sciglio might replace him if he can't make it.
