i cant understand how the team capitulated in the 10 or 20 minutes after the red card. it was a big emotional blow for the players

I thought fergie had got the better of jose, stating before the match that he thought real would score, then dropping rooney and playing more of a 4-5-1. Think jose was stumped until the red card, didn't look like scoring until then

Got to agree Fergie lost it after the sending off.
They could,nt get out of their own half and instead of sending on a defender he kept arguing with the 4th official and winding up the crowd for about 15 mins.
By the time he had worked out changes were needed they were 2-1 down.

Man Utd lose a man but they are still 1-0 up, not a disaster.....until they let it become one.
Before the red Man Utd looked by far the better team. Could easily of been out of sight.

easy to write Sir Alex off, hes still at a very high level, emotions just got the better of him. Same thing happened when Pepe got sent off in UCL 2011 vs Barca Mourinho went nuts, got taken to the stands his side went emotional lost 2-0 at home, and were in effect gone from the UCL, after playing a decent 70 minutes or so in that first leg, the last 20 after the red killed madrid. At that moment everyone went ranting on about how Guardiolas got him and Mou's in the troubles but these guys come back, at least hes 12 clear in the epl, if SAF blows the epl title this year, then you have a point. (hed retire if he lost it lol)

^ I disagree. I thought Madrid looked fairly desperate for the most part, and United were attacking well for a ''defensive line-up.'' Missed the first fifteen of the second half as I was balls deep on Over 0.5 and was expecting a torturous second half so switched off as I thought Madrid had little chance of scoring and United would take 0-0.
