apoel - I spotted this so raised it internally, here's the outcome from the Trading Team which hopefully will please you:
"The bet in question was placed after 55 minutes when Tigre were winning the game 2-1. Tigre were 1.95 pre-match and this game was not supposed to be offered in-play at all, therefore the customer was able to place a bet on Tigre at the pre-match odds of 1.95. The following rule in our Sportsbook terms and conditions covers the reason why we took the decision to void the Tigre leg of the bet: Part B - General Rules 1. In-Play betting 1. 1.1General For everything other than horseracing and greyhound racing, if a market is not scheduled to be turned in-play but Betfair fails to suspend the market at the relevant time, then: if the event has a scheduled 'off' time, all bets matched after that scheduled off time will be void; and if the event does not have a scheduled 'off' time, Betfair will use its reasonable endeavours to ascertain the time of the actual 'off' and all bets after the time of the 'off' determined by Betfair will be void. However, after careful consideration we have decided to pay the bet in question at the correct price. Therefore the Tigre leg has been settled at 1.33, and total returns are now 141.67. The reason for this is that in this case it was not clear to the customer that this particular game was not scheduled to be turned in play." |

that seems fair enough tbh

Agreed, I don't think you could have any arguments with that result tbh.

Damn lucky to be fair.

Now that bf have a sportsbook, imv they have a duty to be extraordinarily explicit about their palp rules.
If a customer lays 96 when he meant 9.6, it's not a palp, he can't stake the bet but has to stand what he mistakenly inputted. When bf make a mistake, it's a palp covered by their terms and conditions. It's not the spirit of the original exchange. |
