Before I talk about tonight's game I have to mention last night's games. People ask me why I love Argentinian football so much. Well last night is the answer why. The standard might not be the greatest but it is just madness and you just never know what will happen next.
I recommended overs in the Quilmes v Atletico Rafaela game. The 1st half was one of the worst games of football I have ever seen. I was convinced that neither team would score even if they removed the goalkeepers from the game. And then the second half there are six goals and both teams look like scoring every time they venture up the pitch.
I slightly fancied Newell's to beat Belgrano but I wasn't going to bet them at odds on and Belgrano are a team I hate betting against as they bore everyone to death and sneak big results against the better teams. Well the game wasn't up to much but the Santa Fe Police decided to wade into the Belgrano fans and start beating the sh!t out of them. Not only the fans. One of the coppers clumped a Belgrano player over the head and he needed stitches. Insane!! The Santa fe police are by far the worst in Argentina and need no invitation.
Arsenal are begging to be opposed again tonight. This will be their 5th game in 15 days. They are due to travel to Sao Paulo on Thursday for another Libertadores game. This is after they got butchered at home by Ronaldinho and co 2-5 during the week. They are simply running on empty. It was men against boys as the Brazilians won easily without playing that well. Their confidence can't be great. They must be mentally and physically shattered.
In contrast Independiente are absolutely flying.  A 2-0 Clasico victory over their fierce rivals Racing Club last weekend, together with a few other results going in their favour, meant Independiente are out of the relegation zone for the 1st time in 20 rounds. This is massive. Independiente are one of the giants of South American football. It's the equivalent of Liverpool staring relegation in the face.
They have had a great start to the season and they have needed it. Not only have the beaten their fierce rivals but they also won at the home of the champions, Velez, the week before despite being reduced to 10 men. And for the first time in 139 games, Americo Gallego will play the same team two games running!!! Confidence must be high!!!
While Arsenal might be knackered and feeling low on confidence, Independiente know they have to keep winning in order to keep out of the relegation zone so they will be up for this big time. There will be a huge traveling Independiente support as usual (although both clubs are from the same city).
I have had a big bet on Independiente on the Asians. This game could easily be a draw.  But I couldn't bet Arsenal with stolen money. Independiente will smell blood. Arsenal might not have the energy to fight them off.
My advice would be a big lay of Arsenal or bet Independiente on the Asians.
P.S Just to let everyone know that the Tigre v All Boys game tomorrow will be played behind closed doors as a fan was shot dead last weekend by the Tigre hooligans. This must make All Boys a bet but will let u all  know tomorrow.
