Mind boggling, it was a nasty challenge as well.
Referee might still have given the penalty if Robben hadn't scored, I guess.
Still shouldve booked the player if that was the case.
Gonna let my bet run. I can see another goal, but I wouldn't necessarily bet on Dortmund scoring it. They're much more compact than usual, but still they're all over the shop when Bayern up the tempo. On the other hand, it means they're a player short on the other end of the pitch when they do make it to the Bayern box.
Here's hoping Mandzukic scores it with an overhead kick, to silence the critics on this thread.

think Bayern will get more opportunities in 2nd half compared to 1st half. When Dortmund go attacking for tha 2nd goal, Bayern can counter
Bayern should win comfortably, they are well on top and cutting open the Dortmund back line easily. Going to be scary for Dortmund if they have to push more players forward.
If Bayern don't win this after passing up all these chances I'm gonna have a fit. My Bayern +3.5 should almost be in by now!

its just some of his positioning today that has been rubbish
Pretty dire all round. Bayern will need to improve ten fold to figure in the Champions League shake up. So wasteful. I'd say that apart from the back 4, only Schweini and Robben have played at anything like an acceptable level.
Bayern couldn't be ar*ed in the second half, Dortmund were just very poor.
No Quatsch, theyve missed 3 or 4 very presentable opportunties this second half. Nothing to do with not being ar5ed.
Got my ass handed to me in this one, could have used a 2-0 to save me. Oh well.
They never got out of second gear, if you asked me. Well, maybe a few times for 5 - 10 minutes, but they certainly didn't (have to) give it their very best tonight.

I think some people must set their standards very high if they weren't impressed by Bayern there. You can't win 3-0 or 4-0 against good sides every week. Yes, they were a bit wasteful in front of goal, but it would be much more worrying if they weren't creating anything. They are solid at the back, with an excellent goalkeeper, and Dortmund didn't create one single chance of note. It'll take a very good team to beat them in the Champions League.
my only concern for Bayern is, against the good sides if you dont take your chances, you will get beaten................
they could have stepped up a gear and looked for more goals tonight, but i agree with u defensively they were sound tonight
I'm impressed by the way Bayern controlled the game and at times put Dortmund under a lot of pressure, and I understand that they're not going to give 100% if they feel that they can win the game playing at only 70%. It's just that I don't get why they wouldn't rather go for a second and finish the game off altogether. Considering how little Dortmund were threatening and how easy the chances came for Bayern when they put Dortmund under pressure, I just don't see why they did not try a little harder and finish Dortmund off rather than risking it with the tiniest of margins.
Agree WCE that they need to be more clinical against the top sides, but it's worth bearing in mind the battering that Dortmund gave City and they also got the better of Real in the CL group stages, so it is not like Bayern were up against a bunch of also rans tonight. From some of the comments here, you'd think they were up against a team of nobodies.
