Paul Elliott sacked from FA

" A FOOTBALL anti-racism champion has sparked a race row after calling another black man “n*****”.

Ex-Celtic and Chelsea star Paul Elliott, a leading light of the Kick It Out campaign, made the slur against another former player, ex-Charlton man Richard Rufus.

Elliott, 48, launched the broadside in a text argument over a business venture that went wrong. He wrote to Rufus: “Ur a stupid man n*****” then added: “You dog. Ur history my friend.”

The row ended with Elliott, recently made a CBE for services to equality and diversity in the game, warning: “This will follow you scumbag.”

So a black man says a naughty word to another black man in a heated text exchange completely unrelated to football, and loses his job.  What a world we live in.

For me,the worst thing is the double standards that exist,especially amongst the media.
To put it mildly,John Terry is loathed by the media for allegedly eventually snapping after being continually bated by another player,which many others would have done in the circumstances.(No violence,just a couple of words out of place,allegedly)
However,Ryan Giggs is still held in the highest regard after being caught out cheating on his wife with ANOTHER MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY.
  I know which was the worst offence,unfortunately the media doesn't,and that is the World we live in.
