Wondered what had happened to this, they suspended it after 1-0 and now they've just removed it completely

its still on on every other betting website do these ****g clowns make the rules up as they go along?

I had 800 pounds on this...what could have caused it?

Surely they can't have any valid reason to void this bet if they are still taking bets at other bookmakers and the game is still being played.

at least they've put a message at the top of the forum page explaining why they've voided bets and removed the game....................oh they haven't.

betfair are above all laws - they essentially make things up as they go along... no respect for their customers. Plus the people in customer services are uneducated tools!!!

maybe one of their seeders layed you the bet in error

Had over 500€ on krasnador... Line dropped from about 2.6 to 1.8 near kickoff... However, all other bookies have settled this normally.

Surely they would only void if they think the match is dodgy? They'll happily suspend and settle at the end with a lost feed.

Ok just received email from betfair. Reason they voided is wrong team name... Should have Fc krasnodar instead of kuban krasnodar. Trivial BS reason to void if you ask me.

No, that's ridiculous.  They cannot get away with this one.  Somebody on the other side obviously took advantage of this.  They cannot void a game after it has already started.

There are actually 2 different teams called "FC Krasnodar" and "FC Kuban Krasnodar"

"FC Krasnodar" was the team that played and "Kuban Krasnodar" was the name they used

A betfair punter no doubt saw this as an opportunity...pile thousands on the game, if the bet starts to lose then call up Betfair and ask for it to be voided - otherwise cash in.

Unbelieveble. I don't think anyone noticed such small, and in reality totally irrelevant typo. They should just grade the bets normally.

I had a game voided that was the correct team just an illusion that it could have been mistaken for another team. I completely disagree but understand why they've done it. It does set a trend to risk free betting if you manage to spot a similar situation.

Think they voided a friendly between Oxford and Everton because Everton played the reserves and it should have been 'Everton XI'. Some people got paid in the end I think. I'll ttt the thread.

I had the same thing from William Hill once. I bet on Germany to beat Slovenia or Slovakia. They duly won. Nice one. Or not. Hills had put the wrong teamname down and voided my winning bet.

Looks like betfair won't budge in my case. Bets are still void. What options do I have now as a non-uk player? LGA and IBAS?

Given its a betfair error they should have swallowed their mistake.
They void as and when it suits and given they are involved in markets with the cross matching how can they be impartial.
