Football is alright here - in general Africans, very powerful, skillful, pacey - great long passing (as opposed to the "hoofing" we see here) ---- big weakness tends to be finishing

Not brilliant, but its not bad........ watch them - they can control it first time, pass long balls accurately, and are pacey.
As i said, not sure about finishing and are generally sh1t at shooting from outside the box - can go anywhere.
Imagine some African bloke watching typical fare here - can't control it first time, and big hoofs up the field to no-one in particular.....Don't be fooled the difference in standard is not that big.

But then again, an African country will probably win it before anybody from UK / Ireland will.
Not having a go at all, just pointing out they have strengths to their game, which are sometimes superior to here - just to counter-act the somewhat condescending comments.
Couldn't give a sh1t one way or the other to be honest.

Agree with bobtoe though - tackling also tends to be poor, and take wild shots......but skill levels are high (that is a hard bouncy pitch) and the pace is frightening

Yep Ivory Coast are spoilt for choice really, so any options.
Drogba, Yaya, Bony, Ya konan, Kalou, Tiote. Even Gervinho and that mug from Anzhi (Traore) are better than most countries strikers.
