Benitez currently available at 1.04. Will this be settled as a winner if he keep his job until after Wednesday's game?

Cheers in advance

1. Subject to paragraph 2, an appointment described by Chelsea FC as ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar, will not constitute first team manager.

2. Notwithstanding paragraph 1, an individual appointed by Chelsea FC on an ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar basis who remains manager in that capacity for at least 10 completed consecutive English League games (including over the course of more than a single season), will be considered to have been appointed as the next first team manager for the purpose of this market and Betfair will settle the market accordingly on that person.

(click "Rules" on the betting page for the full write up).

He's the winner if he's still in the job until after Wednesday's game.

As long as he avoids the clutches of the mob roaming up and down the Kings Road carrying torches and pitchforks and baying for his blood.

If they lose to Southampton it will be the shortest ever gap between a Club's manager market closing and re-opening

It's not the best 1.03 you could ever back, but it can't be far short. I can't believe there's anyone out there who wants to lay him.

It is to me. Even Chelsea aren't going to sack him 5 hours before a game.

Illiquid markets, or in some situations slow reactionary markets, can provide better 1.03s. But that's the only exception.

At a push yes, but not a scenario that is a 3% chance.

For what it's worth folks this is being discussed on the specials forum - basically, it looks like there's some "mugs" backing Guardiola based on the report this morning about him coming back to UK and so what's happening is they are hitting him down to 30 and then guys like myself are laying Benitez back at 1.02/1.03 and making immediate profit.

Nope, did my trading this morning.  Got some lovely lays on Guardiola at 16 and followed with Benitez at 1.03

Just to clarify if it wasn't obvious - I meant laying Benitez at 1.03 and simultaneously laying Guardiola < 34.
