Someone needs to dig out that pic of Webb in a united jersey, Ryan Babel was fined for retweeting it IIRC.

Oh well, that's a goal down before a ball has been kicked.

Still fancy us to get a draw despite Webb doing everything bar going up for a Utd corner
Report mightymoyes January 7, 2013 5:17 PM GMT

Gary Neville and Paddy Crerand are the linesmen
Report CJ70 January 7, 2013 5:48 PM GMT
I know Paddy does it for publicity but it does the Premiership no favours to cut prices based on the referee selection.

All jokes aside, does anyone think this could actually go against United?

'Webb being United's 12th man' has become so notorious that we now having bookies cutting odds on United when he refs them. Surely Webb will be keen to prove this isn't the case and could perhaps be extra lenient towards Liverpool or harsh on united.

Shocked
Report CheltenhamRoar January 7, 2013 5:55 PM GMT
Correct ^

That's exactly what will happen,Hence the constant bickering by liverpool fans when he referees united.
Report themover January 7, 2013 6:09 PM GMT
Biscuit, that's a bit like suggesting that the FA are more likely to charge SAF for abusing a ref (instead of Mancini, for example) to show that they aren't lenient towards him. Haven't seen it yet, but miracles do happen Laugh United having Webb as the official is a massive bonus for United and bookmakers shortening the odds reflects that correctly imho.
Report cob316 January 7, 2013 6:25 PM GMT
Webb will call everyone's bluff who thinks he might favour Liverpool, he's the sort of douche that will want to prove a point and stick to his united bias regardless of any media pressure.
Report charwell. January 7, 2013 6:57 PM GMT
Well all my pre match optimism has gone. Like that clown Halsey in the 1st game when he may as well have put Fergie in the middle and we would probably have been better off!!!

Webb is as biased as they come and loves being part of Fergies inner sanctum. The one man team is now a 2 man team.
