I possibly agree. I certainly think it's unfair on them that they've had the tie awarded against them so quickly.

bad news people had an email back from Betfair: Markets in the Sao Paulo v CA Tigre match were suspended due to suspected security problems.

The game will now be subject to the Betfair 3 day rule.

Out of interest what would BF do in the instance that a team receives 4 red cards game is finished and the other team wins 3-0. Would BF pay out on bets?

River v Belgrano definitely paid out - I remember there was lots of seething about it on the match fred at the time, including by myself. San Martin v Velez this year was voided though.

The riots started late on in the River game though, so it's not really comparable to this situation.

Three-day rule does not mean it definitely will take three days to settle, but that it could take up to three days.

FIFA really should threaten them with international ban or something.. Too much corruption over a game of football, mainly over betting scandals...

Did it suspend bang on half time? When the scuffle started on the pitch or did I miss a chance to green at the break? I realise I will probably not get the green but at least my stake wouldn't be tied up

for technical purposes if the ref blows for full time at whatever point, then that surely means, from a technical point, that he considers the game to have gone 90mins and injury time. That is what constitutes a ful time. Agree anyone?

from the principle that a full time implies 90mins. so if he blows for full time it is for administration purposes considered 90mins

addicted: It suspended when the brawl broke out and then reopened. It suspended again about a minute or so after the commentator said it was abandoned. It did give people plenty of time to reduce their liability. As soon as he said it was abandoned I cancelled all my unmatched bets.

I have sympathy that you're not going to get paid out - I'm in the same boat - but I'd give up searching for a loophole, there's no way this is going to be anything other than voided.

tbh there is no rule governing this kind of mess and no precedent of a game being awarded at half time. Therefore common sense dictates that the goal/score markets be voided. Probably the match/handicap markets too if they have any sense.

My two bets on the match were +1.5 first half goals which has been correctly settled and 3-1 @15.5 which was in with a shout when I went to sleep after the first bet came in.

It happened many times in the past and bets were settled according to this rule.

So when were they settled? All my bank is tied into this match at the moment

Not saying you're lying but when I checked the results on the Laddies website it shows everything bar the half time markets as voided

wasn't involved in this but what is extremely annoying is the river belgrano match was stopped at the 87th minute (i was involved in that game) yet betfair still settled even though 90 minutes weren't played.
