I think both defences are awful at the moment so O2.5 looks good! Do we think there is going to be a penalty today? Fergie must have lumped on that anyway!
By:
considering there have been 5 goals in last 6 prem meetings in this fixture I don't think BTTS is free money.

Man Utd back to Lay for me.
By:
Maestro, on ManCity pitch you mean, as 1:6 on MU home soil didn't happen that long ago

sounds like a draw, possible with a draw for Everton spurs will give 13:1. Would also be tempted to add in draw in the west ham game!
By:
Only 1 draw in the last 18 meetings, doubtful
By:
as I said in this fixture...meaning City at home to United
By:
Both defences awful? I suggest you look again ...
By:
I don't think that home pitch has that much meaning in a derby, so unders are dangerous to back anyway here

Dzeko has a phenomenal goal scoring record against Man Utd. Include that with Utd's trouble defending set pieces, it could be something to consider.
By:
Dzeko won't start, been given a number of starts to try and shake off super sub tag and produced nothing. Balotelli much more likely if it's not Aguero and Tevez.
By:
Yeah I think Balotelli will start too. Tevez and Aguero haven't been convincing either.
By:
What about van Persie's record against ManCity?
By:
Yeh none of our 4 strikers are in form so it's a problem. You have to say we have a stronger keeper , defence and midfield but I think they have the better forwards at the moment. Which will make the difference?

I don't think Hart is better than de Jea

Are you basing your opinion on the league or in Europe? If Europe then fine but definitely not in the league.
By:
City's defense has been ok in the EPL, but yeah, MU attack is a little too hard for them to handle
By:
Im basing it against what I class as "decent teams" - again my opinion! I agree it could easily end 1-0 like last year! But also there could be over 2.5 goals
if I knew I would be a rich man! |
By:
Man city have kept clean sheets against Wigan away, Aston villa home, Chelsea away, and Swansea at home in recent weeks! Only Chelsea I would class as "decent" and wasn't that rafas first game in charge?

Ipswich? Are they in League 2 or something now?

I take the point about the teams played but our defense has been gradually improving. Clichy and Zabaleta must be two of the best full backs in the league, Nastasic has been excellent and Kompany is coming back to form. You could definitely make a strong case for goals today based on United's recent games though.

The past few league derbies at City have ended 1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-1, 1-0, 0-1. You'd have to go back to 2006 for the last overs at City in the league. Unders looks a decent bet to me at odds against, as does both teams not to score.
City have been solid at home this season, adding to their formidable record - and there's no shame in being held by their bogey team last time out. United have been picking the points up away, but they were desperately lucky against Chelsea, handed Villa a 2 goal lead and were shambolic defensively against Reading, though the defeat to Norwich doesn't look too bad considering their form. I'm happy with the odds for a City win here. City tend to get going later in the game - the second half is where the majority of their goals come from. With this in mind I'm happy to play draw/city and more goals to be scored in the second half. I also like Barry to score first, and anytime. No particular reason tbh, I just think he's quality and want a speculative punt. Minimal stakes of course, and I'll have a little go on the scorecasts at 1-0 and 2-0. So, to round up, thats under 2.5, both teams not to score, draw/city, city win, more goals in the second half and some scorecasts. Too many bets for one game, so I'll have a think and only play one or two. Best of luck all. |

Goals should come. They really should
By:
This may not be the goalfest that people are expecting. Man U will surely want to keep it tight. I think 1-1 or 1-0.
By:
I'll confidently back another goal once the first goes in, but so long as it's 0 - 0, I'm not at all certain that we'll see (m)any. At this stage of the season, a draw is an acceptable result for both teams.
By:
Well, I will back 0-0 also for a small punt then
