when Athletico M get in the CL they will have an easy group because their Europa performance will give them high co efficient
City will get Barca etc and complain about the draw

I agree, Mancini clearly had no passion for the fight and that is worrying to me.
The Europa league maybe not be held in such high regard but it is a building block and a genuine opportunity for silverware. He now puts himself in a position of all or nothing in the Premiership in terms if credibility and lets face it, with the players he has at his disposal they should be way in front anyway but their not.
Too many draws, too many halfhearted players, for me too little passion, period.
Compare that to say what Simeone is doing at Atletico on a much smaller budget with only 1 star player, where they play flat out for the manager week in, week out. You can see it in every player, that is true man management in my eyes.

not getting into the EL is good for City, they want the CL & League, not the EL and the EL would seriously hinder them in achieving one of those goals. Winning the EL would do nothing for Mancini. The point about co-efficient is valid but given their wealth/players they shouldn't have to rely on a good group draw to progress. I think winning the league is a must now for Mancini and the EL would only make it much harder.
And OP Falcao has deliberately been left out of every AM EL match this season, fuelling rumours of a departure in Jan. Falcao has been hinting recently on leaving too. Expect some huge bids come Jan. Chelsea should break the bank & give AM torres back
