If the draw had sent sevco to Celtic Park, Sky would've been creaming themselves to get that covered - so
with tv revenue plus share of 60,000 gate receipts would the orcs still have been demanding "us berrz needty make a staun here!

Old Rangers giving someone money??? No they were in admin. then liquidation with millions of pounds of debt. They didn't give anyone money.
Report Outpost December 5, 2012 9:24 AM GMT
before they went in to admin they paid the SPL the dundee utd money which was why sevco never paid it again when they agreed with the SFA to pay old rangers debts to all scottish clubs that were still owed money from rangers.

Rangers: Charles Green questions non-payment of Dundee Utd debt

By Martin Conaghan
BBC Scotland
Rangers newco chief executive Charles Green has questioned why funds owed to Dundee United from a Scottish Cup tie last season have not been paid.
Green claims the Scottish Premier League agreed to settle the debt.
However, the SPL maintains that the agreement was made with Rangers oldco and is now void.

We wrote to Dundee Utd on Monday explaining the SPL had previously confirmed they would pay it

Charles Green
Rangers chief executive
"Why the SPL have not paid Dundee Utd the outstanding sum as previously agreed is a question that they need to answer," said Green.
Rangers oldco went into administration in February and filed for insolvency in July due to unpaid debts.
A consortium, Sevco (Scotland) Ltd., led by businessman Green purchased the former company's assets and changed its name to The Rangers Football Club Ltd.
The newco was granted a transfer of the oldco's Scottish Football Association licence with one of the conditions of membership being the payment of all football debts.
In a statement, Green reiterated his previous claim that all debts to Scottish clubs incurred by the company that formerly ran Rangers had been settled.
Green says this was "in addition to agreeing to waive all claims to unpaid fees accrued last season, as part of the five party agreement which was a condition of SFA membership.

Green has referred the matter to the SFA
And he added: "A letter from the SPL to the club - dated 18 May 2012 - stated 'The Board decided to accede to the application of Dundee Utd and accordingly, the sum will be withheld from the next sum payable by the SPL Limited to Rangers and the sum will be paid by the SPL Limited to Dundee Utd.'
"We wrote to Dundee Utd on Monday explaining the SPL had previously confirmed they would pay it.
"I spoke to [SFA chief executive] Stewart Regan and his solicitor this morning and provided them with copies of all relevant documentation."

Pathetic and childish.
Report Geesyerdosh December 5, 2012 12:27 PM GMT
It wasn't for Charles Green to tell anyone how the prizemoney should be spent. It was nothing to do with his new football club. Once the old club went up in smoke legally the SPL couldn't just dish the money out to who and where they wanted. They were advised this and duly changed their stance. Green knew this full and well but playing up to the deluded is far more important than any truths.

And if they do get back in the top league I assume Kilmarnock will be the only away matches they go to as no one else can stand them either. Grin

What exactly did Dundee Utd do wrong?

Rangers demoted themselves by firstly not paying taxes and other debts, then going into administration, then into liquidation.

The rest of the clubs very kindly allowed the new club to gain entry into the 3rd division ahead of clubs who had been waiting longer.

Chuckles Green should be eternally grateful for this and their supporters should be thanking Utd and the rest and more importantly showing some HUMILITY.

MAC - If there is a replay at Ibrox ,does this mean another boycott as Utd would be entitled to half the rec eipts.

What about if you reached the final against say Aberdeen(fans were the most vocal you should not be in the SPL) then do you boycott Hampden as they get half the receipts.

Methinks this has not been thought through.
