Spurs are favourite to win tomorrow
but when the home advantage is taken
out, Liverpool are seen as the better.
how can this be ? Haven't the L'pool
backers run out of money yet ?

I think Liverpool were favourites last time they visited The Lane.  4-0 FT. Grin

The Merseyside gambling syndicates CDCD (Calm Down, Calm Down) are determined that despite stats, performances, managers, opposition and anything else football based, that they will send Liverpool and Everton off as favourites in every match possible to convince the world that they are still in the higher eschelon of Premier League football.

I guess you could have posted our wigan better than spurs before they won there

I would say yheres not a lot between them, however spurs have more goal threat and are at home, so I see no value in liverpool

maybe spurs will struggle to beat liverpool their last 8 opponents have, so I would imagine laying spurs is safer than backing liverpool

An average team managed by David Brent with an excellent striker against a decent team now being managed by Frank Spencer.
Report DAN1974 November 28, 2012 9:56 AM GMT
I wonder who is backing us TBH, the prices have been wrong for two years now, i dont think its Liverpool fans because contrary to popular belief the majority of us realise we are a mid table side and unless there is investment in players in January we will remain so. I would never bet for or against my own team but the Liverpool layers have been getting real value for a while now.

If both sides play to their maximum, then Spurs are better imo.

We played very well against West Ham last time out, if we perform like that again then I would fancy us to win the game.

The last period of more than 6 weeks that Liverpool got better results than Tottenham was Spring 2009 but since then the market has rated Liverpool superior in every match Plain
Report clarkey November 28, 2012 10:14 PM GMT
I thought they looked a good deal better tonight,if im being honest.

Only thing that matters is the score thoughSad

The league table will show us come the end of the season. I would say that over the course, Spurs will look the better side. Tonight, we were poor and Liverpool weren't a lot better. The game was frenetic and Liverpool got the ball in and around our box a lot, but Lloris didn't really have many saves to make (neither did Reina to be fair).

the dza,

Pretty fair assessment

Brendan Rodgers: "We were absolutely magnificent here tonight, I don't think we can play any better than that." Confused Laugh

I think most neutrals agree that Liverpool were the better team tonight.

Not that it means much
Report Bottom_of_the_League November 28, 2012 11:39 PM GMT
Perhaps, but absolutely magnificent, can't play any better? If that's the best they can play, then they have serious problems (which we all already knew anyway of course).

People are going to switch off when Brenda is spouting this shiit. He's always telling us that the latest loss arose from yet another magnificent performance. Horseshiit.

Cant believe BR said that tbh. Better side or not, we need to play alot, lot better if he is to be our Manager long term.
Report tobermory November 29, 2012 1:47 AM GMT
Seems clear he is saying that after every draw/defeat: using positive terminology

Probably some manager speak he picked up on a course.

why does outplaying Spurs at White Hart Lane mean you have serious problems? Lucas back and another good forward option can see a lot of these draws and defeats turned into wins imo
Report noidea November 29, 2012 9:22 AM GMT
So why would you say Liverpool outplayed Spurs? Spurs destroyed Liverpool in the first 20 minutes. After taking a 2-0 lead they let Liverpool come at them, and tried to hit them on the break. Liverpool may have had plenty of the ball, but what did they get, a bizarre own goal. Spurs may not have been great for the last hour, but for the first 15 minutes they looked more dangerous in attack than Liverpool did at any time.

just watched the game on football first....
After the game they quoted a spoof twitter account quote from Brendan Rogers...
"We had 65% possession tonight. To me that's more important than goals"
Not even Brendan is that deluded, the thing is the amount of tosh he speaks noone questioned it was a spoof.
