I will be laying CSKA here. Zenit are not a good match-up for them lately

I was just about to create a thread alluding to Zenit's weakness in the market, any significant reasons for the drift? I'm aware of the form of both sides going into this, but the fact that Zenit were as big as 3.7 at one stage, is quite alarming!

The stadium will be empty due to zenit fans being banned, so basically a neutral fixture, and cska are the better team currently, and sit top, so are now rightly faves, the 3.4 early was too big. I just nipped to my local coral to take the 11/5 they had on offer, got my slip given to me with 11/8 not 11/5 :(

And the guy in charge of todays Anzhi game, is a cska supporter, and apparently jokingly tweeted that he`d book several anzhi players who were 1 yellow away from a ban, so they`d miss the next game against his beloved cska. As it turned out he booked none after a warning! Go figure!
Theres been a few recent smashes up in russia with punted teams winning. Just today, the early game Anzhi away to Amkar, were backed from 1.85 to 1.39 pre game, and won 2-1, it was 1-1 for a long time, and Amkar werent trying, it was clear they were sitting back, and anzhi were that bad they couldnt score! Took a 94th minute deflected winner to land the cash - even though there were only 2mins of added time - again go figure! Then Rubin drifted pre game to 1.42 from an early 1.30 and drew 0-0. Now CSKA have been smashed to bits, 5/2 into 11/8 Its your call what you do, but I wouldnt be touching Zenit with anyones |

Zenit have massive internal issues, and no confidence. Its even getting through to the fans who in a recent game against dynamo, threw bombs onto the pitch, not sure what kind of bombs, and the game was suspended, with a 3-0 win being given to dinamo, and the zenit fans banned from home games (not sure how long) - the players dont care, the fans dont care, and this isnt a time to be playing cska

All in all, the game could go either way, at 5/2 cska were value, now theyre not, even though they might win. You couldnt say Zenit are too big at nearly 9/4 now, given all the problems, but if they win it`ll look huge, especially as they won 3-1 at cska earlier in the season. The form since then has flip flopped though, and the boot is now firmly on the other foot.

I fancy CSKA to score, but am going to wait to see which Zenit side shows up today before I place a bet on goals. The side that played the second 45 minutes against Málaga was pretty decent; the one that played the first half and also twice against Anderlecht was very poor.

any one following the russian league will know that Zenit should and are never that high playing at home to cska. Their line up is also strong. I'm shocked at this odds at first I thought zenit playing away. This is surely a FIX?

infact I wouldnt expect CSKA to be favorties when they play zenit at home maybe just narrowly. CSKA have a young team and some of the players lack experience I'm amazed the market thinks they will over run the Zenit physique

andrew you are a russian expert. Aren't you amazed as to why Zenit are under dogs here? Come on man they are playing full first 11. I'm amazed that no one thinks its dodgy. The fans factor could be the only reason.
