purple site. no markets, like u4.5 that i want. no swedish bots no liquidity , awful site. no good forum.
Report VCM November 22, 2012 10:30 PM GMT
I'm already there. Too many on here will talk the talk but do nothing. Liquidity will only improve if people vote with their feet
Report DirtyCashMoney November 22, 2012 10:34 PM GMT
There's lots of good on-line bookies out there..not betting exchanges, but you can often get better prices on proper bookmakers' sites anyway, no need to limit your choice to here or the purple, with the 'double chance' market that gives you effectively a lay bet, the only problem is you can't trade out, but I don't give a damn about that anyway
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 22, 2012 10:36 PM GMT
I have opened up an account there. I do my fixed odds stuff with online bookies as no commission and the same prices as exchanges. But have now opened up a Betd@q account as I do a lot of trading and cant be at risk to this... going to use betd@q tonight for the cricket and see how it goes... less commission and no premium charge means its worth looking at in my opinion
Report STEPTOES YARD November 22, 2012 10:36 PM GMT
purple is awful barring as back up. doesnt offer anywhere close to markets betfair does.
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 22, 2012 10:37 PM GMT
but the more of us that go there and stop giving betfair a monopoly the better purple will become...
Report jajabink November 22, 2012 10:37 PM GMT
**** is badly designed and no money in it,what would be the point, always have a account somewhere else in case the worse happens, for me its only been this once in the last year so not so bad
Report VCM November 22, 2012 10:39 PM GMT
Well done bravado. I've found the lower amount of markets has helped my profitability no end as making a lot less random bets!
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 22, 2012 10:39 PM GMT
I just had a look and seems some decent money there... not amazing but ok... and good for a back up... as it grows and more people use it, will get better
Report alfee November 22, 2012 10:42 PM GMT
any serious punter already has DAQ .
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 22, 2012 10:47 PM GMT
LOL i do a lot of cricket trading also and just found out betfair is down for maintenance on the final day of the next england test match... that is a joke!!
Report jajabink November 22, 2012 10:51 PM GMT
no serious punter would have daq, there is no money in there its only for small punters,i like betfair even if it does go down sometimes
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 22, 2012 10:56 PM GMT
Actually plenty of people who are on the premium charge now have betd@q accounts... are they not serious punters?
Report ALEXANDER_THE_GREEK November 22, 2012 11:01 PM GMT
i am very serious punter and pay charges since 2010 but no chance to go there.
this site is a joke, no markets. i bet on u4.5 u5.5 with huge money. no markets no liquidity , useless site for me.
Report jajabink November 22, 2012 11:03 PM GMT
really, total of 93 pounds matched on the entire card at ascot tomorrow, premium charge customers gonna have a whole lot of fun with that
Report jajabink November 22, 2012 11:06 PM GMT
on the europa league outright there isnt even anything available
Report sugarfoot November 23, 2012 12:37 AM GMT
most of the money is reflecting what's on here and disappears when this site crashes

the only amusing thing about **** is when that system error occurred on Voler La Vedette and people laid on there to arb, betfair voided their markets and the **** layers got properly stuffed

B**daq suffers from incredibly shocking liquidity at times.

Last week I had a lay of 1.2 on the draw in the Bangles vs WI Test match. The price was up for about 3 hours, and I didn't get a nibble even when the price was around 1.14 to 1.15 on Betfair.
Report Nordc November 23, 2012 8:44 AM GMT
The reason we are talkin gabout **** in here is yesterday's failure.
But **** policy on such matters is exactly the same. "Not their responsibility" if site crash, their  software/hardware fails.....

why?  all they do is copy bf prices and if bf crashes they'll be gone too
Report Bravado_Billionaire November 23, 2012 11:35 AM GMT
I used it last night to trade the cricket as was worried Betfair would go down again and managed to get some prices that were bigger than on here. liquidity not as good but its bearable and only 3% commission.

How on earth have you not voided all bets on events affected by the outage last evening.

I could not trade out of my position to take a profit or a loss - surely part of the contract we have is that you provide the service for the duration of a sporting event - if you do not then the contract is broken.

The only thing to do is to void all markets.

Unless this situation is remedied I am finished with Betfair and will be taking my business to ****.

And whilst that you will not miss as an individual,I hope that thousands follow suit and your arrogant monopolistic corporate stance - and appalling treatment of your customer base - is shoved up where the sun don't shine.

Liquidity not as good on quack but getting better

Most prices pre race or game are withing one click of this place

In running isn't much cop but in general i have had zero problem since being there and will NEVER bet here unless the price is well out of line

No PC charge and 2% comms

For most people thought they couldn't care less about price etc, it is just about betting and they will put up with almost anything and betfair know it.

If everyone did as I and others did when things changed for the worse this place would have had to react but they didn't / they wont now and they never will because they really aren't that bothered despite all their moaning.

This place has NO customer services , it has a list of pre written excuses and replies and a room full of robot women to answer phones

Shame we are mainlyu moaners who do fukk all as these plums get richer despite supplying a pisss aweful platform
Report Darlo Bantam November 23, 2012 12:45 PM GMT
For people betting in-running there is no liquidity, so it needs a sea change to Daq. That is essentially impossible and certainly implausible. Betfair cornered the market and it's very difficult to change that. When was the last time you saw an advert on TV for Daq? Traders require punters and punters will stick to what they know - Betfair.
Report themover November 23, 2012 12:55 PM GMT
There are many examples of market-leading companies losing their way...mainly due to sub-standard product and poor customer service. Betfair is on a very dodgy wicket in my opinion because I do not expect it has much customer loyalty and is therefore vulnerable to a new service from other providers.
Report Darlo Bantam November 23, 2012 1:11 PM GMT
Betair might be weak and that'll in part due to complacency and its associated effects because frankly there is no viable alternative. Daq have been around for too long to do anything now. It will require a new model or company to come in to try and compete with Betfair.
Report Biscuit1979 November 23, 2012 1:42 PM GMT
Daq isn't a viable alternative, it is a decent back up to betfair in case of an emergency (like last night), nothing more.

Do they even advertise? I'd bet your average man in the street who likes a few casual bets every now and then hasn't even heard of them.
Report mesmerised November 23, 2012 1:47 PM GMT
why doesn't one  the big 4 take over purple and challenge betfair.
Report The Bhoys November 23, 2012 1:50 PM GMT
im confused. why cant a online bookie like lad brokes create a trading site also instead of fixed odds? why would the have to take over purple?
Report shudacuda November 23, 2012 1:52 PM GMT
Question is.

Will Laddies improve the purple one?
Report efisio. November 23, 2012 1:54 PM GMT
They'd just develop the games imo.
Report mesmerised November 23, 2012 2:10 PM GMT
why bother with the start up cost when there's already one in place,it needs money and they have the profits to invest in it. Probably cba.
