Thinly veiled "let's just elaborate on mesmerised's thread and see where it goes" - you clown

it sums him up fairly well, hes a finisher, second goal was decent too,
but defenders might have stopped him, so what ? |

Give it up Roy

Rooney's - now there is an overrated shinner.
Trevor Sinclair's on the other hand - a more perfectly timed, purely connected strike as there has ever been. |

wow mesmerised what an awful person

Ibrahimovic won the league 8 seasons in a row and if PSG (likely) win the French league this year he would have won the league 9 of the last 10 seasons. That is not a coincidence.
It would have been 10 had Juve not won the league going unbeaten! |

Don't really follow your question. Mugmerised its fairly clear I had not seen your pitiful effort of a thread. Just responding to the various media outlets. I was intrigued to see how Ibra would fare at Barcelona...if this chap really was as good as the hype he'd thrive there...he did ok. I would do ok at the point of that attack. Lets be honest, if he were as good as he thinks he is he would not be at PSG, monnies or no monnies. Just fits him perfectly that. |

The old classic...I do wonder if any of the teams he's been at have started the league season as even 2nd favourites for the league. I mean I could have joined barca and they would still have wont the league. As for psg don't make me laugh. Chicken and egg. |

Your overrated thread is a classic. What a bellend you have proved yourself to be. I had to share it with the lads at work. We ain't done a stroke all morning for laughing. Thank a million.

Harry, I do believe this is way over your head. I suspect your colleagues are not the sharpest either.
Ask yourself why someone who is capable of what we saw last night is plying his trade in a mickey mouse league and not still at Barcelona (for example). |
|
By:
If all the teams that he played for were so good, clear title favourites and going to win the league at a canter anyway, then how come this "overrated specimen" was the cornerstone and top scorer in most of these sides.
Ok you might have a point about Barca still winning the league, but he still did well there, set a club record and scored the winner in a classico. Face facts, you don't play for Ajax, Juve, Inter, AC Milan, Barca and PSG unless you're a quality player. Add to that he has a very good scoring record in a pretty sh*te national team. His record is better than Rooney and RVP at international level. |

And it's fairly common knowledge why he isn't still at Barca.
1. He didn't suit their tiki taka style 2. Guardiola didn't like his outspoken style. The same reason he shipped Eto'o out. 3. Messi wanted to play a more central role, which was Zlatan's role. Only one winner there. |

Just give it up Roy. You don´t have a clue about football or what makes a good player. I guess you're not the smartest person around, are you?
|
|
By:
Btw, how is your Berbatov is better than Bergkamp thread going?
|
|
By:
His titles were stripped from Juve regards match fixing, so that is an over hyped line 8 in 9 years of whatever....but i do like him, easily by a stretch one of the games finest attackers today + he's a character and does what he wants when he wants.

I know more about the game in my little toe than the collection of mugs on this thread.
I've just seen someone describe John terry as one of the best defenders ever in that thread and no one pulled him up ![]() |

To be fair Roy i seen the Terry comment
but given the players you mentioned as over rated it was only a minor detail. |
|
By:
@roy do you not think that the teams he played in may have started as 1st/2nd favourites because he was their main player? Do you think Barca would have paid 40m and Samuel Eto'o if there wasn't something about him? Then again, you must know more than them...
Look at his goal scoring records for all of those clubs, look at his individual medals and awards and have a real think of strikers over the last decade or so that are better than him. He is an amazing player and his arrogance clouds that occasionally, but you simply cannot question his ability |
|
By:
Your over rated thread suggests you know absolutely f*ck all.
I think you should probably re-read it, Terry was described as one of the premier leagues best ever defenders. There certainly haven't been too many better than him over the past few years. After playing over 500 games for Chelsea in 10-12 years and winning the following, that's a pretty fair assessment and certainly a lot more accurate than your claim that he is over rated. Premier League (3): 2004–05, 2005–06, 2009–10 FA Cup (5): 2000, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 League Cup (2): 2005, 2007 FA Community Shield (2): 2005, 2009 UEFA Champions League (1): 2012 Individual PFA Player of the Year: 2004–05 FIFA World Cup Team of the Tournament: 2006 FIFPro World XI: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 UEFA Club Football Awards Best Defender: 2005, 2008, 2009 UEFA Team of the Year: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 Chelsea Player of the Year: 2001, 2006 |

I know more about the game in my little toe than the collection of mugs on this thread. This is how much this mug knows about the game R0y keane's Updated list of over rated players: R0ykeane 05 Jul 10 12:22 Joined: 26 Dec 06 | Topic/replies: 5,519 | Blogger: R0ykeane's blog 1. Totti 2. Ibrahimovic 3. Van persie ![]() 4. Pique 5. Terry 6. Messi- let me put this one in context... he is the joint best in the world but some of the hyperbole around the kid aged 22 after a performance against an arsenal 'defence' was nothing short of embarassing. Not reached zizou's level let alone pele/maradona. 1/6 |

Sorry Winner
missed you. That invalidates the statement at 10.34.Serious question as I don't know the answer. How many times has he won the champions league? I don't remember any...with that record of league titles and great player that he is I'd expect at least 2 or 3....? |
|
By:
he's won the same amount of champions leagues as RVP, the striker who last week you claimed to be the best striker in the world.
|
|
By:
Mes, concentrate now...this is going to be hard for you.
Two years ago they were overrated for a various reasons. These days of the above only Totti Ibra Pique remain. Terry aint really rated by anyone these days bar chavski fans. |

None? So to be clear Zlatan has won 9 league in 10, gone into champions league campaigns at the head of champions, in a team as good as Barcelona and won NO champions leagues?! Very interesting that. ![]() |

In view of your RVP statement, you obviously don't count CL titles as a requirement in being a great player. Or do you?
Anyone would think you made things up as you went along just to suit your argument. ![]() |

Mes, concentrate now...this is going to be hard for you. Two years ago they were overrated for a various reasons. These days of the above only Totti Ibra Pique remain. Terry aint really rated by anyone these days bar chavski fans. __________________ You include Pique - who swapped United for Barca But you choose to omit Van Persie who swapped Arsenal for United funny that RVP at the time of your thread was always an injury prone striker, not worthy of inclusion in the first place, including messi, even in the context you provided was ridiculous from the off, having said that I would always have Ronaldo in my team over messi, for reasons I cba to explain, totti agreed, ibra agreed, that's it. |
|
By:
If RVP had entered the champions league 9 times out of 10 (not to mention the other times) at the head of the champions of a national league and also at the head of a barcelona side including messi, xavi, inestia et al and not won at least 1 champions league I'd be thinking something does not add up and would look at it again yes.
I think it says volumes about the player that. And perhaps the leagues he's played in and their strength. Is he perhaps the ultimate flat track bully? Perhaps. |
|
By:
Winning the CL is not the be all and end all - there are a numnber of world class players who havent won it - Zidane (in my opinion the best player I have ever seen) only won it once.
The fact is i opened this thread as the title suggested to me that you would be celebrating WHAT Ibra did last night - love him or hate him, his performance was unbelievably |
