I've got a question someone might be able to help me with.. I gotta laugh, but here's the scenario: I completely stuff up today in a market called "correct score 2 home" in a soccer match. There was hardly any money in this particular market, and there was an option for "any unquoted" score. There was a Lay price option for 10.50 and no money for the back option. Not thinking, I placed $5 to lay "any unquoted" at 10.50 with a liability of $47.50 should it lose, so I pretty much immediately forfeited my money as the actual odds of backing this option "unquoted home score" of 4-0,4-1,4-2,5-0,5-1 etc were very good. While I'm relatively new to trading I know exactly where I went wrong and I put it down to being tired and hence the completely stupid mistake.

The question I'm interested to know is, does anyone go around and just put money to back these sorts of markets with no cash, put their own high odds up for grabs and hope they "get lucky" and get matched by idiots like myself?

We've all done that before. My favourite was backing o8.5 goals at 1.12

Sometimes it works the other way and you get the favour back.
