At least the Villa fans turned out in force today. United sold all their tickets as usual.

Suspect its the first time you have had 40,000 plus at Villa park for a while and United and their fans helped make it a decent crowd so why slag off all the United fans for something a handful might have done.

LIVERPOOL FC bosses today vowed to catch yobs who threw missiles - including human excrement - at rival Manchester United supporters.

Reds' chiefs have condemned their own fans for the vile attack that took place during the highly-charged fifth-round FA Cup tie at Anfield in February.

Coins and plastic cups rained down from the upper tier of the Anfield Road stand on to the United fans below.

And stadium manager Ged Poynton admitted there was one case of excrement being thrown during the half-time interval.

In a letter Mr Poynton conceded the actions of some Liverpool fans had been "unacceptable" and he branded those responsible as "cowards".
