Why did Betfair stop putting up markets for Cyprus, APOEL plays today and there is no market.

I think that BF was banned from Cyprus a couple of months ago...

Online casinos, pokers and betting exchanges were banned in Cyprus, in a controversial law that betfair will contest at the European level I believe.
I think until very recently Cypriot games were available, maybe they decided to pull them in general. No clue what happened. |

Just because betfair is banned in Cyprus, shouldn't stop us from betting on it.
It's also banned in the USA but we can still bet on the MLS, baseball, NFL, NBA and the presidents race. More likely to be dodginess of the league, fixed matches etc. I think that was the reason given as to why they don't offer Chinese football on here. |

Our Parliament voted betfair to be banned ,plus other online casinos. The case i think is in the european court of law. Bf probably will win the case and cypriot games will be back sooner or later.( at least i hope so).
Btw...Apoel would be a good case for -2 tonight or Any unquoted!!  |

Bf is not banned in Cyprus, the Parliament wanted to do it. Betting shop which used betfair accounts are banned, not personal accounts. Afer the law the shops closed, and cypriot championship and cup games were removed from BF.
