Didn't work for me though I've probably done a similar bonus in the past.

Hedge your bets on two numbers for a return of x18, or cover four for a possible x9 win.  Pick the correct dozen and triple your stake, or play it safe with outside bets that can double your money.  Outside bets include the group of numbers 1-18, or 17 to 36, Odds and Evens and Red or Black.

It's playing the game the way they suggest.
