The yellows suddenly recovered their spark against Arsenal...worked their socks off which was one of Lamberts fav game plans...reckon it could be the turning point so if we have the same team with the width in Pilks and Bennett then I'd fancy Norwich for this one....having been a pessimist for most of the season...maybe cards would also be a play..

Depends on Villa team...don't like Lambert's recent team selections at all...if Gabby and Delph and involved don't be backing Villa. Bannan should play, most creative player. N'Zogbia been a massive disappointment but does at least have some flair. And Bent needs to play obviously, not to be confused with Benteke who should start on the bench.

villa must win but i just cant back them.i really fear for us ,we will play better football under lambert but we have no steel in the side.our midfield never takes control of a game and we cant kill teams off.benteke has played the last 2 games with diving boots on and our defence is inexperienced and weak.if they were not my team id back them for the drop.if we lose at home to norwich where are we going to pick up the required points.oh for the days of mortimer,bremnar,cowans,shaw and withe and we went to home games expecting a win.no matter its not like ill support any other team.

Yes ...goal every 0.45 games not that bad really considering the near non existent service he's had since arriving...and a long painful tenure under Mcleish.

Don't really think it's fair on Bent to say he's flopped.
22 in 50 games is good considering his supply lines have all been sold. He should try and get a move in Jan. As far as this one goes, probably a lay of Villa for me at the prices. |

i reckon both teams sure to be involved in a relegation fight, norwich just shown signs of minor improvement so i guess lay villa at around evens when all three results are more than possible is the correct play. i may just have a tiny correct score 0-0 to spice up the bet, both teams are shyze in my view and it may need a bet to be watchable.

Couple of key things for me...
Whilst Lambert knows the Norwich players he won't know as much about us at the back where 3 of the 4 starting were signed by Hughton, then there is Tettey the Defensive Midfielder who was also signed by Hughton. Villa also have injury problems at the back, so they may have problems dealing with Holt. I think goals will be scarce could see it easily being 0-0 / 1-1 / 1-0 / 0-1 |

Without Bent Villa would've been relegated in either of the last 2 seasons imo. He was a stupid price compared to his ability but he kept them up so was money well spent I guess. The club has been woeful in the transfer market for a few seasons
