Anyone know why Cardozo is only on the bench? Is he injured or is it tactical?
well this was easy money, i was just checking the stat for these two teams and beneficas only away wins in CL were against mug teams from mug leagues,cant believe these mugs were a 2.58 shot
I's tactical, Quash, he hasn't been that great last few games. Benfica's coach usually rotates between Lima, Rodrigo and Cardozo, they're all good strikers, so..

Dunno if any of you guys were on the celtic-benfica thread, when everyone though benfica would smash celtic. Then I can give you the same advice I gave in the other thread, Benfica has an extremelly unbalaced team, no quality on the midfield or on the back. A clueless coach that always chokes on big matches (or most of the times anyway). Sure they're doing well in the Portuguese league, but, like someone mentioned above, the Portuguese league is Porto and Benfica at the start of the season, and eventually just Porto making a run by itself, with some glimpses from Braga here and there....
the ONLY reason benfica are playing bad right now is because **** russia has the worst pitches in the world
they should be banned from fifa competitions all together until they can actually get roofs on stadiums and have normal pitches that allow players to play

I really enjoyed watching Benfica two years ago or so, seemingly scoring for fun and playing some very good football. This doesn't look like the Benfica I remember at all; they look very incoherent.

That's because it isn't the same side. In the past 2 years they've sold Di Maria, Ramires, Coentrao, David Luiz, Witsel and Javi garcia. Well over 100m worth of players so it's no surprise they're not as good these days.

The problem here is Spartak concede a lot, but their price at home cannot be ignored. I have 3-2 scoreline in my head.

Disappointing second-half so far, to be honest. This is more League One than Champions League.

I think 15 mins was a slight exaggeration but I red out at 65 mins because I did think there would be a goal! I got a little bit on under 4.5 to cover a bit of the loss (unless there is 2 goals in this last 5 mins!)
nice added 45 secs onto the 4 even though the ball wasnt in play for 3 mins 3secs of inj time!..what a prick!
didnt have any financial interest in the game but that is a disgrace how he has blown the whistle when he did despite all that time wasted during injury time
