I thought he was England's best player too, put some decent crosses in the box and put a big shift in.

ffs it was Poland you were playing not Italy,Germany,Spain ect

Has to play in front of Lazy Cole so did the best he could.

It just shows you how low our expectations are when we embrace and salivate over the defensive performance of a wide midfield player rather than how he's just turned the full-back from our mediocre opposition inside-out.

Remind me of this glut of rich talent he is cheating out of playing in his place?

I'm not a great fan of Milner, but I thought he did okay.  Can't think of anyone who performed better on the night.

I despair at Milner being in the team as he is workmanlike at best. Afraid to say his passing was better than most, and in the last 20 minutes he was our best player. Gerard's punts have got to go. Cole, who has been world class, had a shocker. Rooney was awful and even Hart dropped a clanger. 1-1 was a great result.

Only right sided current England player who at his best offers more than Milner is Johnson. Who else is there? If anyone says Lennon then you should step away from the computer and go and hand yourselves in at the nearest Police Station.

milner is obviously not the mosttalented player to wear and england shirt but i thinks he effective and consistent and merits his place in the current squad.
