Should he have been done retrospectively? They seem reluctant to use retrospective rulings

If Rooney escaped a charge for his misdemeanour at Wigan last year RVP was never going to get a charge.  Not least because he didn't actually elbow Cabaye.

I saw the incident similar to that of Ibramovic against Stoke (was it?) the other week.

No malice in it for me.

This really wasn't an elbowing, it was an arm across the neck/shoulders.

Also, the Huth thing wasn't a stamp. A stamp requires putting more force in, but it looked as if huth was trying to ease off, even if he didn't stop himself touching suarez. Anyone stamping is viscious and should be dealt with by the plod imo, but the huth thing wasn't a stamp. (Shoulda been carded tho!)

Spot on. I've been there before and had a player do exactly the same. It hurts but it's almost banter. You have a graze but it's just part of parcel of football. People calling it a stamp need to get their eyes tested, sure he could have moved his feet but a stamp suggest a vicious forceful thrust of the foot, Huth merely grazed him.

RMB, maybe you will volunteer and let Huth have a bit of 'banter' with you by gently grazing you with his studs whilst  you're on the ground!

I've suffered far worse in my career, as most will who play Sunday league. The main difference is, if you roll around in Sunday league you will get murdered later on or if you bounce up and laugh it off you get kudos and the game carries on as it were.

IF Suarez had suffered he would have shown evidence off it, the lad is a tart and tried to make out it was worse than what it was.

In Sunday League if you did what Huth did, It would most likely end up in a mass brawl with spectators even getting involved.

Seen players sent off for less these days. RVP.

Doesn't say much about the standard of football you play if that's part & parcel of the league you play in.

The beers and 4am kebab the night before are more indicative of the standard, it's turd, great fun though.

Song got a retrospective red and 3 matches last season for standing on Joey Barton's leg. It seems the FA are letting players get away with more this season, it wasn't long ago there seemed to be a zero tolerance approach
