Download this (it's completely safe) then install and run it then get back to me with what it says...

Or look on the back of your computer and tell me how many of either of these ports you have, obviously your current monitor will be plugged into one, any others?

Iv on dual monitors and my graphics fully support this.

I can run any amount of poker tables, msn, betfair etc no problems.

Most modern pcs should be ok.

Just connect your 2nd monitor and try it.

If not ,upgrade your graphics.

Seems that's just onboard graphics expat hence why you only have one port.

You need a new graphics card, something basic will do the job fine.  Under the mainboard tab what model does it say?

I didn't think it was possible to split from one output, it would just clone the displays rather than extending it?

What does it say under 'Version' on the mainboard Tab?

version 5.15

I'd suggest this expat

http://www.ebuyer.com/368753-asus-hd-5450-silent-512mb-ddr3-vga-dvi-hdmi-low-profile-graphics-eah5450-sl-di-512md3-v2-lp-

That should be compatible, it's not too hard to install but it will involve a going inside the computer and slotting it in

Hope it works, if you're buying a new monitor you might want to go for a DVI one since your current one will occupy the VGA one which will save you buying a VGA/DVI adapter

Good luck
